Okay, so I completley forgot about this story, but here we go again! :D

-------------------------------------------------

"Skye, hey, wake up!", somebody whispered in my ear, it was Joe. I wanted to move, but he held me down on the matress.

"What-", I wanted to ask, but he covered my mouth with his hand.

Now I could see why: There was noise upstairs, screaming, growling. Zoe cried out names, someone stumbled down the stairs. Alfie shouted "How did they get in here?!"

Caspar appeared in the door, "Get up! They're coming up the stairs! Get as much stuff as you can, we're leaving!!!"

Joe and I looked at each other for a second, then we jumped up and collected everything that looked useful: Flashlights, batteries and so on.

I looked around, "Where are my shoes?! Oh shit!!"

Joe threw me a pair of trainers out of his wardrobe and said, "We'll get you new ones when we're out, now hurry up!"

We stuffed everything in two bags and ran up the stairs. Alfie and Jim were holding the door shut, while the others packed the rest in hurry.

"Is everyone okay?", I asked while putting on the trainers.

"Yeah, so far, but how are we gonna get out?", Dan looked at Jim and Alfie.

"Out the window.", Phil answered.

"Out the window? Seriously, Phil, you and Skye are injured and the window is high up!", Dan lifted an eyebrow.

"Have you got a better idea?", Phil hissed in a way that I have never heard before. Even the nicest people can get mad when their life is in danger.

"Phil's right, that's the only way out. We can make our way up to the roof from there and then escape.", Caspar went over to his desk and shoved under the window, "Come on guys."

"What about Alfie and Jim?", Tanya worried, "I'm not going without my husband."

"We'll put the dinner table in front of the door, that'll keep the walkers out long enough for us to get out.", ordered Alfie, "But fast, we can't hold it for very much longer!"

Caspar opened the window and led Zoe, Tan, Phil and Dan over to it while Joe and I pushed the table in front of the door. The others were already carefully climbing out the apartment, Dan helped me up so I could reach outside and pull me out. I tried to not look down, but I had to to help Joe follow me. When he was climbing up, I returned my look to the fassade of the house and slowly inched aside so he could get out of the window. I watched him pull Alfie up, then I turned around and followed Dan who was already dangling from the roof.

My ankle still hurt, so I didn't move as smoothly as I wanted and the luggage didn't make it easier. When I tried to reach the roof, I missed and tumbled so that Joe had to catch me in the last second and drag me onto the wall again, "Don't you leave me now, Doctor McDreamy.", he grinned.

"I'm more Doctor House with this foot...", I didn't miss the roof this time and with Dan's help I made it, the other guys following me.

"And now?", asked Caspar everyone.

"Out of the city. There are less creatures.", I assumed.

"We'll always be on the run, right?", Zoe sighed.

"At least we're together. And we always stay together, no one gets left behind.", Tanya assured, "Promise?" Everybody nodded. Even I had realized that it was easier if someone was having your back.

"Now, where do we go?", Jim asked.

Joe looked at his sister, "Home. Check if Dad's still alive. Also our house is in the middle of nowhere, guaranteed no runners. Skye's right, there are just too many in the city."

"Okay, but all the way to Wiltshire by foot? That's just too much, is it?", Alfie frowned.

"We have nothing better to do! And if we can make it before winter starts we have a fireplace there. Even without electricity we could cook.", Zoe agreed.

"Maybe we can find a van or sth on the way.", Jim shrugged.

"We need to try it!", Joe insisted.

"Joe, you now, that the chance that Dad's okay isn't high. He might have been dragged out by the military and then abandoned. Please don't have to high hopes.", Zoe sighed.

"I know...I just have to- Please!"

Everyone stayed silent for a moment, then Caspar shrugged, "Okay, let's go get out and find a van. I really don't walk all the way."

The group started moving, Joe and I walked in silence for a while, until he started talking.

"You know, that was the first time in ages that I slept well. I mean, with you beside me. Well, with you RIGHT beside me."

Oh. Aww. I smiled, "Although I have cold feet?"

"You DO! Why the hell are they so cold?!"

"I don't know, I guess I haven't been living too healthy the last weeks. I mean food and stuff."

"Yeah...good that you're with us now."

I chuckled, "I might be eating better now, but I nearly got shot twice in the last three days. Both times by you btw."

"Uhh, yeah sorry about that. You just make me go crazy I guess.", he grinned while we climed over a chimney.

"Okay, next time you go crazy over me you give me your gun first, how about that?"

"I'd always give you my gun, McDreamy."

I lifted an eyebrow at him and heard Dan say "Get a room, for fucks sake."

Was he really carring on calling me McDreamy? I mean, not that I would have minded being compared with Patrick Dempsey, but I wouldn't have thought that he was a Greys Anatomy-kinda-guy. But on the other hand, nothing wondered me anymore after what had happened in the last days. One week ago I was wandering through empty streets and now I was talking about Joe Sugg's...well, his gun. By the way...

I turned around to Dan, "Don't worry Dan, as long as we have no protection, nothing will happen here. I definitley will NOT get pregnant in a world like this. Not even from Joe, as hot as he is."

Joe nodded, "True. I mean about the protection. But I'm also hot, I guess."

Oh yes. He was. And I couldn't wait to see how far his hotness went.
