Jayla made it to the park first and sat in the self-turning, hyper-speed, merry-go-round. As she was spinning, she pulled out the book and waited for Mia. After a few minutes Jayla, spotted a metallic blue blob with wavy black hair. She jumped off the merry-go-round and walked over. Sure enough it was Mia. The two walked over to the nearest park bench.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" she asked.

"This" responded Jayla as she put the diary into Mia's hands.

"Great, so you found one of your parents' old diaries," stated Mia.

"But it's not my parents, or at least I don't think it is." muttered Jayla.

"Let me take a look," said Mia as she opened up the front cover. Mia started reading and after the first two pages she was ghostly white. She would have continued, but at that moment a guy walked up to the two girls. Mia shut the book and shoved it back into Jayla's hands. She sucked the book into her I.D. card's storage and looked up at the man. He was tall, and was dressed in a black suit, and looked like he was in about his mid-forties. The girls were terrified, not because he looked scary or suspicious. It was the fact that he wasn't wearing anything metallic blue. They heard stories about what happens when people don't wear the city's color. People being beheaded, endless torture, public humiliation. All of which, the two best friends were thinking could happen to them if they were caught hanging out with this guy.
