Los Angeles"Es ella? Es realmente ella?" Marisol Dinero cried, holding Raja's face and staring her in the eyes. "Ella es hermosa." Her hands rubbed up Raja's face into her hair. "Little Raja," she said in her heavy accent. She sighed. "I haven't seen you since you were like five. Mija, are you safe? Hungry?" She frantically looked around. "Did you come all this way alone?" She looked at Nani with a soft, broken face. "Is this the baby? Ella es muy muy pequeña." She looked at Dinero. "Are you keeping them safe?"
Dinero took a deep breath, and began speaking to his wife in a harsh whisper, "Marisol, I just found her. I don't know what we're going to do. There is no possible way we can keep her safe. The whole fucking drug world is looking for her." He sucked his teeth. "I'm surprised she survived this long."
Raja began jittering. She held her daughter closer to her chest, and frowned. "Wh-who is looking for me, exactly?" she asked. Dinero turned to look at her. He looked at Marisol.
"Your uncle. Tyson."
Raja's face turned sour. Her father's youngest brother put a price on her head. She knew in her heart her younger brother TJ was right on his heels, ready to act on anything he told him to do. TJ probably wanted Raja dead more than anyone. His father was role model and his biggest fan. For his sister to kill him without any explanation made him want vengeance. It gave him his own personal vendetta.
Raja swallowed hard. "Who else?" she asked knowing he wasn't the only one.
"I can't even tell you, mija. There's money for your return; dead or alive."
She squeezed Nani's small hand. "What if I turned myself in?"
"Oh dios mío! Don't be stupid, Raja!" Marisol shouted. "We will try to keep you safe here."
"How the fuck do I know you're not trying to kill me too?!" Raja growled. "You two were my parents' enemies. And you," She turned to face Dinero. "Didn't you work with my uncle Tyson right before that giant Italian drug war that broke him and my father up?"
His hand flew hard across her face.
"Antonio!" Marisol screamed. Raja squeezed her eyes tight, trying not to cry from the stinging pain on her left cheek. Nani held on tighter, afraid. She adjusted her daughter on her hip, nodded toward Marisol, and turned to leave.
"You better hope they let your baby live! And you better hope they don't chop your body into tiny pieces!" he yelled after her.

Los AngelesI step out into the slightly windy weather with Nani holding on tight. I walked past the even longer, louder line to get into the club.
"Mommy?" Nani's little voice was barely loud enough for me to hear. I ignored her, moving fast to get her in the car. I opened the door and leaned down to put her in the car and strap her in. Her big eyes looked scared. "Mommy!" she shouted.
"Be quiet, Nani." I strapped her in and moved back to close the door. My back immediately met the body of someone else. I looked over my shoulder, instantly regretting ignoring Nani's scared behavior.
"Raja, take her out of the car seat," he said calmly.
"Jonas, can we ple-" he cut me off.
"Just do it." Hesitantly, I reached down into the car and undid Nani's seatbelt straps. I slowly picked her up out of the car seat. "Mommy?" she was scared once again. I tried to ignore her. Jonas opened his arm, and she buried her face in my shirt.
"It's okay, baby. It's okay." I tried to calm her down. Jonas gently pulled her out of my grasp.
"You want to go get some ice cream?" he asked her. Her face softened a bit as she looked at me then back at him. She nodded. He looked at me, then turned and left.
My body couldn't move. I was terrified for her. I knew Jonas wouldn't hurt her, but I didn't know what was to come for me.
"Hey, bae!" I heard a sinister chuckle behind me. A familiar voice. So familiar. "TURN AROUND!" his voiced boomed, making my body go numb. I didn't move. I heard heavy footsteps stomping behind me, getting louder as they got closer. He yanked my arm, spinning me around to face him. His right hand wrapped around my neck, and he pushed my back against the car. My arms reached for his face as I tried to gasp for air. He let go, and I collapsed to the ground. "Get up," he said. Before I could stand up, he snatched me up by my shirt. The people were so focused on getting inside the club, they didn't notice me getting my ass beat. He held me roughly by my collar, and put a cold gun on my exposed stomach.
"Let's go."
A/N: a very quick chapter, because I totally forgot about this story. I'll try to write more, and keep all my stories updated.
