They had to stop doing this.
It was a mistake an irrevocable wrong.
But it was their mistake and one that no matter how erratic it was it felt so right.
Thats all that coursed through Stiles's mind as he drove to Lydia's lake house. He knew she would be there alone trying to think and forget about everything that had happened to her and everything that occurred between them. He still couldn't processes completely how they had gotten into their current predicament. As he drove his mind wandered back to a few months ago. The pack had fallen apart as secrecy was their undoing. With Kira gone, Malia hiding her plans about her mother, Scott getting closer to Theo, Liam trying to protect Hayden at all cost, Lydia distancing herself and him hiding what happened with Donavon it was no mystery how Theo's plan succeeded. After getting pass all the anger Stiles felt towards Scott and how he couldn't protect his father and blaming him for trusting Theo after he warned him he wasn't trust worthy they started to mend their friendship. It wasn't something that could be fixed fast but it was something worth mending so they were in the process of it. Another thing that wasn't concrete was were he and Malia stood in their relationship. They seemed to have broken things off but as with everything relating to the coyote he wasn't certain.
What he did know was that as soon as he heard Lydia was in Eichen House he had to do the impossible to get her out. He knew from personal experience what laid in there and after remembering seeing one of the ordeals eyeing her sickly when they'd visited Dr. Valack he knew she wasn't safe. Stiles had came up with a plan to check himself into Eichen House for as long as it would take until he found Lydia and got the chance to know his way around the insane asylum. In his first two week there Stiles had learned the time the guards switched shifts, how long the nurses took to go back into their offices, and even had the opportunity to steal the keys off of an ordeal but he hadn't seen Lydia at all. His luck changed when one of the ordeals took him pass the solitary rooms and he spotted her.
From that point Stiles waited for the end of the week to arrive. Since the ordeals took the liberty of longer breaks and the guards would huddle up in their own break room to watch whatever game or fight was going on he just had to behave and wait for the night to arrive. When midnight came around the lights automatically went out giving Stiles his cue to get up slowly from his bed and take the keys that he had stolen out of their hiding place and walked without any problems into the hall. As he had calculated every time factor he knew he had ten seconds before one of the guards walked that very hall. Stiles soon arrived at the solitary rooms and quietly ran up to the one that contained Lydia. What he found shattered his heart into a million pieces. She was dressed in one of Eichen houses hospital gowns and drugged to the point that she didn't even recognize him. Lydia stared at him with a far gone look in her eyes that made Stiles's anger grow ten folds. He swiftly walked over to her and picked her up as if she were his bride and ran out into the hall towards the stairs that would be vacant for approximately one hundred and twenty seconds. From there he would only have sixty seconds to get to the back door that was across from the stairs. That door would lead them into their freedom and his beloved jeep that he had left stationed there weeks before his admission into the asylum.
When Stiles finally reached the door that would lead him to the outside world he knew his strawberry blond would finally be safe. He was able to let out his breath as soon as he had Lydia buckled into the passenger seat and he himself situated into the drivers side. The alarms still hadn't gone off demonstrating he did his job well but he couldn't count his victory yet as they were still on the property. Stiles checked the time on the dashboard that flashed 6 a.m to which he started his car and drove off towards the main gates that would open at any minute. As soon as he saw the gates begin to open he took of at an alarming speed in order to get through the gate before the cars of the specialists would be entering. It was dangerous but it was the only escape. Luckily he had enough speed going that they hadn't crashed into anything only scratching a part of his jeep that he would freak out about later. He had driven until they arrived at Derek's loft knowing that the asylum would be looking for them at their own respected homes. They spent about another two weeks there at the loft while things cooled down and Lydia was back to her normal self.
