"Wonder what Nick is going to think?" Kevin thought. But he wasn't going to wait for Nick's reaction any longer, as Nick was already in front of him.
"Hi" Kevin said weakly.
Nick grabbed a bottle of water from the table beside him and handed it to Kevin "Here, thought you might need this"
Kevin just nodded, grabbed the bottle from Nick and proceeded to drink.
"Ehem" Nick said "Do you mind if we talk in my dressing room?"
"Lead the way" Kevin replied.
When they got to Nick's dressing room, Nick immediately closed and locked the door. He then turned to Kevin and asked "Did you mean it?"
"I did"
"Really?"
"Every word?"
Nick looked like he was about to cry. Kevin didn't want Nick to cry. He felt like he was being stabbed in the heart everytime he saw Nick cry.
Instinctively, Kevin was immediately close to Nick, and he hugged the younger man, put his head closer to his chest and whispered "Don't cry, I'm sorry, I meant every word, I really did" Kevin then cupped Nick's face and kissed his forehead.
"You know you hurt me right?" Nick just laughed and wiped his tears.
"I know I did and I am prepared to do whatever it takes for you to forgive me" Kevin held Nick's hand and just started playing with Nick's fingers.
"Well, if I am going to be completely honest, I think I've forgiven you already, I was just so scared of letting you know. What you did that night hurt me in ways you can't even imagine Kevin. I have never ever felt hurt like that and as to make sure I never feel it again, I decided to shut you off"
"Nick, I love you"
"I love you too Kevin"
Kevin gripped Nick's shoulders and said "Promise me something?"
"What is it?"
"Promise me you'll never hide from me again, promise me that whenever you feel bad, you'll trust that I'll do everything in my power to make you feel better"
"That's a lot to promise Kev"
"It's for you, I love you and I am willing to make that promise"
"So what do you say? Promise?"
"Promise!" Nick held his pinky out
"That's a lame way of sealing a deal" Kevin laughed
"It's the traditional way!"
"I have a better way"
"Wha-?" and before Nick could finish his sentence, Kevin grabbed him and kissed him on the lips.
Kevin broke the kiss and looked at Nick "That's better"
"You were right, that was a better way" Nick giggled
"Don't doubt me"
"I'll try, for you Kevin, I'll try my very best"

Nick and Kevin made their way back to the stage for the afterparty when AJ, Howie and Brian suddenly stopped them.
"So Kevin, you got someone?"
"Maybe"
"Who is it? Is it serious?" Howie asked
"Very serious, and as to who it is, I'm not gonna tell you"
