Chapter 3- You're my safest place to hide

It's been weeks since that day and they were now back on tour. Being on tour usually made Kevin genuinely loves his fans, he enjoys making them happy and performing for them.

But this time was different, Kevin was miserable.

Nick has a girlfriend.

They met each other while Nick was buying a burger from McDonald's and he left his wallet on the counter, a girl chased him and gave his wallet back to him, and a week after getting to know each other, they became official. What's worse was Kevin offered to accompany him to McDonald's but Nick refused his offer because he said that Kevin seemed preoccupied with what he was reading.

"If I came with him he wouldn't have left his wallet on the counter, a girl wouldn't have chased him to give him his wallet back, and presto! There would be no girlfriend!" Kevin thought. But at the same time Kevin felt guilty. He was the one who decided to not tell Nick of his feelings, and why is he punishing Nick and his girlfriend for it? It was his fault.

Kevin was currently in his dressing room, which he shares with Nick and he'd sometimes walk in on them making out. It was horrible. But now, Kevin was alone, and for once, he enjoyed the silence. Enjoyed it because he would be able to build up his strength to face Nick and his girlfriend. I mean, how exactly can you stand to see the man you love, love someone else?

Kevin mentally slapped himself and thought "You're turning soft dumbass"

Just then the door opened, thinking it was Nick, Kevin stood up to welcome him, but much to his dismay it wasn't Nick, it was-okay, he forgot her name but it was Nick's girlfriend.

"Were you expecting someone?" She smiled at Kevin

"Yeah, not you" Kevin thought, but instead he said: "I just thought it was Nick"

"I was actually looking for him, have you seen him?"

"Well, considering that I thought you were him means I haven't seem him right?"

"Kevin, do you have a problem with me?"

"No, I don't. I just thought you'd use your common sense, that's all"

Nick's girlfriend face turned red, as in she looked like a tomato. Kevin wanted to laugh, well, he wanted to get his phone and snap a photo of the human tomato in front of him and then laugh.

Nick's girlfriend turned away from Kevin, didn't say a word and slammed the door on his way out.

It was the end of another concert and Kevin just wanted to crash into bed. He didn't even want to shower anymore, but he took a whiff of himself and thought "Christ, bad idea, you need that shower" The rest of the guys were eating dinner downstairs, they asked him to join, he wanted to, but he was dead tired.

When Kevin got to his room he immediately took off his shirt and put it in the hamper. He was about to close the door to the bathroom when he heard someone knock on the door. He sighed, when he was about to get his shirt from the hamper but he thought "It's probably not that important" and decided to not put a shirt on. He opened the door and it was Nick.

Nick just stood there, staring at Kevin from head to foot. "Is Nick fucking Carter checking me out? He probably isn't, he's probably wondering as to why in God's name did I decide to answer the door shirtless"

Kevin snapped out of his thoughts and said "Hey Nick, what a surprise, want to come in?"

Nick nodded and went into Kevin's room.
