Undercover Nerd

*Beep*Beep*

I wake up to my annoying alarm clock. I really don't feel like waking up right now. I just wanna stay in bed, eat food and watch Netflix, like any other teenager. But NOOOO...sadly, I have to go to work, so I get out of bed and go over to my desk. I pick my phone up, turn it on and play 'Hello' by Adele, just one of my favorite songs. I pick my outfit out which consists of black/grey ripped skinny jeans, a light blue shirt that has lace on the top, and for shoes I grab a pair of white and gold high top sneakers, I also grab a black wrap bracelet that has an anchor and a silver band that has the saying 'If there is a will, there is a way'. I put on my glasses and then I go into the bathroom to do my makeup. I turn the light on and take out my makeup, I apply some foundation, gold eyeshadow, mascara and then I just use some Baby Lips for my lips. I get a text saying I need to bring 'stuff you would need for school' from my Boss. I text him back saying 'okay and I will be in, in 30 minutes.' Put my phone down but before I do that, I put on 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainor and good ol' John Legend. Another one of my favorite songs. I grab my gold elephant 5 subject notebook and pack of mechanical pencils and a pack of pens and put them into my mustachio pencil case. Then I put them into my aqua backpack, along with my wallet that holds 20 bucks just in case. I look over at the clock and see that there I have 20 minutes left so I go back into the bathroom and curl my hair into soft curls. That takes me about 10 minutes thanks to my shoulder-length hair. I go out into my living room and check the T.V. to see what is on and I notice 'The Flash' and 'Arrow' will be on later so I record it so I can watch it when I come back from 'work'. I turn the T.V. off and go into the kitchen. I grab an apple from the counter and go into a cupboard and grab the peanut butter. I slice the apple with the knife I had in the heel of my shoe. I check the clock and see I am running late so I just decide to eat in the car. I go into my smexy, black 2014 Stingray Corvette and go to work. Which is about 5 minutes away.

When I pull up to the front gate the security guard comes up to my side of the car. I roll down the window.

"Hey Steve!"

"Hi, Nia. How is your day so far?"

"Okay. I mean waking up at 5 is torture."

"You're telling me. You know the question...Badge?" He says in a 'harsh' voice even though he couldn't kill a fly.

I laugh and take out my pocket sized I.D. badge. He takes it and barely looks at it, hands it back and goes and opens the gate.

"Have a nice day Nia."

"Thank you Steve, you too!"

I pull up to the parking garage. Park my car in it's usual spot. Grab my backpack, sling it over my shoulder and walk to the crumby elevators.
Once I'm in I click the 20th floor button. It takes about 2 minutes to actually get up there. The doors open and I am surrounded by people running and chaos.

"WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?!" I have to yell to get their attention. They all look at me and then someone says...

"The Chief wants to see you."

I nod and take a sharp left turn and then I walk straight until I reach the boss' office. I knock on the door, just like every time I go in. He lets me come in. I take a seat in front of his desk. He looks at me and then he looks down.

"We found him." He says in a whispered tone.

I just look at him dumbfounded. The guy who killed my family, we, I mean the FBI, finally found him. He stands up and so do I. He comes up to me and gives me a hug. I then wrap my arms around him and then start to tear up and I think I hear him sniffle.

"Thank you. For everything."

"Your welcome, anything to help out my favorite little niece."

I laugh.

"I am your only niece."

"True dat."

"So..where is he?"

"He is 'hiding' at the High School in town."

"You know I don't go to school?"

"Yes but this would be perfect. Schools starts today. For everyone. So you better get going."

"You're telling me that my new mission is at Oceanview High?"

"Yes but you have to be a nerd."

"WHAT?!"

"I know it will be hard for you but you have to, it'll be easier for your cover. Just at school. You can still use your corvette though"

It takes me a minute to process this. I have to be a nerd.

"Okay. Fine, I'll be a nerd"

"Okay go to dressing."

"Dressing?"

"You cannot go to school like that."

He points to my outfit. I roll my eyes. I exit his office and go down a couple floors to dressing. Once I am in the elevator, again, I press the 15th floor button. The doors open with a 'whoosh' and I walk over to Jessica.

"Hi Jess."

"Ohh. Hey Nia. Your Uncle told me you have to be a nerd." She is the only one who knows my uncle is the Chief.

"Yea. Sadly,"

"Well, you are in luck because I have the perfect outfit for you."

"Ohh..Great."

"It's not that bad."

She holds up a really baggy aqua sweatshirt and some black leggings and then she points to some grey Ugg boots.

"You are still going to wear your glasses and no makeup."

I walk into a dressing room. Change and then I wash my face, BYE BYE MAKEUP! I walk out by the elevators and see Jessica with my Backpack.

"You don't have to come back here after school. So here is your backpack," She says as she hands me my backpack. "And don't worry. We already put you in the school's system. Alrighty you are A-Okay to go."

"Thank you Jess."

"No problem."

I go into the elevators and press the big 'G' for garage. I walk out to my car. Put my backpack in the passenger seat. Walk to the driver's side and hop in. I put the key in the ignition and just wait to start it.
I plug my phone in the car's radio and play 'Tip Toes'. Then I start the car. I drive out of the garage and up to the gate. Say bye to Steve.

And I'm off the Oceanview High... Wish me luck...
