Chapter 14

Flasho backo

Me and granny had made it to suna, the village hidden in the sand. She thought it would be nice to go some were else then the dango shop and home. We had got to the small motel and granny let me wonder around but she reminded me to wear my tails maid.

In the playground there were children playing soccer but there was this one child who sat on a swing, isolated from the rest and this boy was so different. Most kids had black or brown hair but he had red hair that made him different. I tried to get close to him but sand swirled around his feet, like a warning but i didnt care. I stood right infront of him and he looked up as his eyes were full of tears, he didnt speak then a ball flew passed us and landed on a roof.

I was about to speak to the red head but i was pulled back by a girl that was playing soccor. She warned me to stay away but i ignored her and went back to the red head. Sand had grabbed the ball and brought it to the ground and the kids ran away but i didnt.

The boy was surpised that i didnt run away "why arnt you running away from me, im a monster." "you a monster? I dont see it, you look sweet not scary. monsters growl and have sharp teeth but you dont." He gave me a smile "im gaara" i smiled back "im opal" after that we talked and talked. Gaara and i would meet up at the swing and stay there for hours until granny has to drag me back to the motel.

Granny knew about gaaras demon and told me to stay away but i didnt listen so i would sneak out and go to gaaras house, after granny noticed that i snuck, she looked for me and then when she found us hanging out, granny started to pack and said we had to go home in the morning. I could tell that see wasnt happy and so she at put me to bed and stayed in the room with ne so i wouldnt sneak out.

The next day i had quickly got dressed and headed to gaaras house, i knocked on it and of corse he opened it but with a confused look on his face "Gaara i-" i was cut off by sand being wrapped around me "gaara stop it me, opal". The sand retreated and he hugged me, i had hugged back then pulled away. My face had tears streaming down it "gaara i cant stay here anymore" i said and he hugged me again "here" he said and he dropped a glass bottle with sand in it.

"put your chakra in it" and so i did and it shaped into a flower, a rose to be exact. "Gaara, thank you and i promise that we will meet again" and so we hugged one more time and he kissed my cheek, "when we are old enough i want to marry you, to show that i truley love you" before i could respond, granny dragged me out of suna and back to konoha.
