We walked into peach's as the smell of coffee surrounded us. It reminded me of old times when me and Nicole would just sit in the lounge chairs and talk for hours till the cafe would close. Those were the moments I cherished and I'm happy I'm finally getting them back now.

We sat in the soft comfortable seats deciding on what to get. I ordered a strawberry frappuccino while Nicole ordered a bubble tea and Devon ordered an espresso. As we sat sipping on the drinks Devon just kept staring into my eyes, drawing me in with those beautiful hazels till I broke the gaze and turned to Nicole. "So..." I said sitting up slightly, "Where have you been for the last couple of months Nicole?" She replied with a grin, "I went to Florida viewing the college I'm going to attend, I got a scholarship to the University of Florida." "That's amazing" I replied. I didn't even know what I was doing when school was over. We were interrupted with a cough as we turned to Devon.

"What's your plan um..." Devon said hesitating. I just noticed how he didn't even know my name, "Mia.." I replied a little harsh not meaning it, "My name is Mia and I'm not sure." I said with my head hanging down. He opened his mouth to say something till he was interrupted by Nicole. "Devon is the CEO's son of that major oil company in the city he can give you a job there after you get an education" Nicole blurted out with excitement. Before he could say anything I managed to speak, "No, its okay you don't have to do that-I mean you barely know me..." I trailed off as he picked up the conversation. "Actually" he said in that deep smooth voice, "I was going to say the same thing as Nicole."

I was speechless, I didn't even know what to say till Nicole again blurted out "She'll take it." That has always been a habit of hers since were kids. Shockingly, I found myself agreeing, "I will" I said with my voice a little shaky, "but after school." He showed a bright smile "Well..." he said getting up "I have to go and deal with some work but this was nice and nice meeting you...Mia" He shed one last smile as he left.

Nicole scooted closer to me shaking me with excitement "He likes you" she said still witty. I shook my head, "How can a guy like him like me?" I said disagreeing. She looked at me like I grew another head, "You give yourself less credit than you deserve. I see the way he looks at you and the way you look at him only a fool would think he doesn't like you and that your not falling for him." I thought to myself, I guess I am the fool.
