I woke up to the smell of bacon, "Mia" my grandmother called in her low sweet tone. I rocked side to side clutching the blanket closer to me not wanting to get up. "W-what" I murmured still half asleep, "Come on its time to get up" My grandmother said a little more sternly. I finally sat up and rubbed my eyes, "It's Saturday why the hell are you waking me up so early?" She just gave me one of those 'get-yourself-back-in-check' glares as she left the room. I growled still mad.

I trotted out of my room in my striped pajama bottoms and white tank top. I plotted onto the cushioned seat waiting to be greeted with my breakfast. "Good morning Mia" my grandfather said taking a peek from his newspaper and sipping his Joe. "Morning to you too grandpa" I said flashing a half smile. My food finally landed in front of me as I gulped it down. My grandmother just shook her head in amusement knowing I was always a person to love food. I was interrupted when my phone beeped and the name Nicole flashed on it.

"Yo" she said bright and cheery

"Can I help you?" I replied in a no nonsense attitude

"Damn relax yourself, but any way there's a party and that guy Mark's house tonight and I wanted to know if you wanted to come" she spoke

I hesitated a little, I haven't been to a party in practically a year, "Uh..." I finally answered

I could tell that she rolled her eyes, "I'm taking that as a yes and besides Devon is gonna be there"

"Why should that matter?" I said now rolling my eyes

"Whatever Mia I have stuff to do, just be ready by 8"

Before I even had the chance to reply she hung up.

I rubbed my eyes in frustration. I don't even have something to wear. I then got up and went to the bathroom. I turned on the radio and the song "Shark in the Water" by VV Brown was playing. I turned on the water to be warm as I stripped out of my clothes and stepped in to let the heat take over me as I soaped myself down with a lavender body wash.

When I got out I draped myself in a velvet towel as I heard my phone beep again. I answered without even looking to see who it was and once I heard that sexy toned voice I knew who it was.

"What up babe?" Robert said practically hearing the smirk in his voice

I rolled my eyes and spoke, "I'm not your babe remember."

"I already claimed you, and once your mine your always mine" I could hear the smirk drop into a seriousness

Wait, was he serious? did he actually believe that? I let out a loud laugh "HA HA" I smirked, "You can't have whats not yours"

I know his anger rose, I could hear his nostrils flaring, the last words he said was "I always stick to my word and I always get what I want" before he hung up.

I didn't think nothing of it as I slipped on black lace underwear with a matching bra, some denim shorts, a yellow tank top and brown sandals. I let my natural curls fall down my back as I applied on a little lip gloss, I was never the one to wear loads of makeup. I grabbed my Gucci purse, put on my ray bans and went out of the apartment to walk on the shopping district in search of something to wear tonight.

It was 7:22pm when I got back home. My grandmother was on the couch sewing while my grandpa was watching Good Times on TV land. My grandfather loved that show. I hurried past them saying quick hellos as I entered my room and shut the door. I took out a strapless red dress with a sweet heart neckline, only something you would see a hooker wear. How would I even escape past my grandparents wearing this?

I put on the dress grabbing my flat iron quickly straightening my hair and put on a pair of matching red heels that I also bought to go with the dress. I put on some nice red lipstick giving myself one more look. I looked through my window to see a black Mercedes there, I was shocked. What is a car like that doing in this neighborhood?

Then I remembered Devon, the son of a CEO, of course he'll have a car like that. I grabbed my bag only with my phone and money in there as I made my way down stairs.
