"Thank you for being here for this early rehearsal. Please get ready to start the blocking of act 2 scene 7." Said the drama advisor. I'm not in scene seven so I went to sit with Marah who was crying to herself once again.
"What happened today?" I asked her.
"What do you think Trevor?" she said sarcastically.
"You really need to get help." I told her.
"I'm fine. Rehearsal just needs to get started and I'll be fine." She explained to me.
"Marah darling can you please go to sound? Andrew is sick today and can't do his job." asked the drama club advisor.
"Yeah no problem Ms. Parks." Marah said heading up to the sound booth. I can see part of her arm from the part of her sweatshirt that she rolled up. I can't tell between her eczema and her scars anymore. It makes me sick that one can just do that to themselves.
"It's a good thing Marah is not on stage." A girl said.
"Yeah, she would take one look at the audience and cry. Just like she does when she looks at the classroom, when she sits on the bus, and probably when she goes home." said another girl. I went over to those girls.
"Can you guys just back off of her? You guys don't like her, we get it. You guys don't have to be friends but you don't need to be rude." I said to them.
"This is none of your business." Said one girl.
"Don't you have to be with your boyfriend or something?" Asked the other girl.
"I DON'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!" I yelled at them. I wish people would just leave Marah and I alone. I hate how we are the jokes of the drama club. It's not so bad for me but Marah, I wish people were more careful about what they say to her.
