Chapter Thirteen

Johan and Alex arrived at the party shortly after ten o'clock.  There were a ton of people in the house already and the music was really loud.  They followed John to the bar where Tommy was serving the drinks.

"What will you have?" Tommy asked.  Both Johan and Alex said beer at the same time.  Tommy uncapped a beer for them both and passed them over the bar. 

"This is a target rich environment for the two of you." John said over the thumping music. 

"That sounds perfect, check out all the hot women in here!" Johan yelled over to Alex who was quietly checking out the crowd.  Alex looked over at the stairs and saw a group of girls looking his way. He was stunned by the incredible beauty of the dark haired girl wearing all black. She had an amazing figure and the most startling bright blue eyes he had ever seen, just like the Mediterranean Sea. Alex couldn't fail to notice that they were talking with Diane and he knew that could never be good. If he knew Diane the way he thought he did she was probably telling that gorgeous creature how he was from Sweden and wouldn't be around for very long. Alex watched her as she gracefully descended the stairs and made her way towards them. Diane was introducing the girls the plainer girls name didn't matter but the beautiful dark haired girl was Gia. Alex thought how her name really fit her, an exotic name for an exotic beauty. Her hair was amazing and long and it appeared silky and smooth and all he wanted to do was reach out and run his fingers through it. He didn't want her to feel that he was staring at her so he looked down at his beer and began fiddling  with the corner of the label. She was talking to him in a voice that Alex thought would be how the angels would sound in heaven.

"It appears they are getting along." Gia pointed out casually.  Alexander turned to check out the situation.

"That happens a lot with Johan." He explained.

"Oh, you're not Swedish?"  Gia blurted out surprised because he had absolutely no accent.

"No I'm not but if you like I can talk with that same accent."  He said while switching to the melody Johan had used causing Gia to give him a huge smile, which made Alexander smile as well.

"I'm confused if you aren't Swedish and you have no accent where are you from and why does your friend have an accent?" Gia asked

"We're Danish and he does that for the girls." He stated in a matter of fact tone.

"Why does Diane think you are Swedish if you are really Danish?" Gia asked.

"Because she's a bitch and doesn't really care what she says about anyone." Alex answered tersely.

"I see." Was all Gia said looking around the room thinking about where she could go and get away from him, but still harboring a sick curiosity about him, "So what about you?" Gia asked cryptically.

"What about me?" Alex asked confused.

"Like with your  friend does that happen a lot with you?" Gia asked teasing.

He raised his eyebrow and smiled all the way to his eyes, "I do alright." He said with a twinkle.

"I bet you do." Gia responded cheekily. 

"How long have you been in London?" She asked trying to make small talk.

"Since right before term began.  How long have you been here, because you aren't English either?" Alex said wondering about her and where she came from.

"No I'm not English but I arrived right before school began as well." She responded.  Gia was about to excuse herself when she saw Janice and Johan walking toward them and she wondered if they were going to go dance.
