Chapter Twenty-Three

When Gia woke up it was early afternoon and Alex was on the phone. He was talking with the airline arranging for flights to Copenhagen. Gia got up and went to the bathroom and started the shower. Gia had just stepped under the hot water when Alex came into the bathroom, "There was nothing leaving today but we do have first class seats on tomorrows flight to Copenhagen. I've already called the front desk and they said we can stay here for another night if that is alright with you?" He said and stepped in the shower behind Gia naked.

"What are you doing?" Gia asked confused.

"Taking a shower." Alex answered stepping closer to Gia in an intimate way. They kissed for a few minutes before he took the shampoo and starting washing her hair. He was very gentle and made Gia feel safe and loved. When Alex finished with Gia's hair he started on her body slowly soaping her up. Gia washed Alex in return equally as slow as he had done with her. Alex reached behind her and turned off the water and pulled a towel off of the rack and began drying her. Gia did the same to him. They soon made it back to the bed and continued exploring each other's naked bodies. They made love slowly, more slowly than they had ever done in the past, really exploring each other's bodies with their hands, mouths, and tongues. This was the first time they had truly been alone with no one they knew in the same vicinity. Alex and Gia laid exhausted in each other's arms when they had finished.

"What are we going to do?" Gia asked.

"What do you mean kæreste?"

"About school, money, the baby?" Gia said looking away.

Alex pulled the blankets up to cover their naked bodies and pulled Gia into his embrace, "Well school for you is paid for correct?"

"Yes."

"We will get married as soon as possible and then finish the school year." We can stay in London or return to Copenhagen and have the baby. My father is going to be renting an apartment in London in June, he's going to be in a movie that's filming there for roughly three months. He said we can move into the apartment after the baby comes. My mother said she will pay for a nanny so we won't have to worry about child care while we are in school."

"That is so wonderful. Why would they do that? We will owe them so much."

"You won't owe them anything."

"What does that mean? What will you owe them?"

"I will be dropping out of Oxford so I can attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts."?

"Why?" Gia asked confused.

"Because we will need money and I can't ask my parents to support us forever."

"What about modeling?"

"I'll still have to do that and Sam, my agent, will be able to get me jobs in London but I will have to return to Copenhagen more than I would like to."

"If this is what you really want?" Gia asked.

"I want you." Alex responded.

"Yes I know but everything else?"

"I will do whatever I have to." He said looking very serious.

"When did you make all of these arrangements?" Gia asked curiously.

"The day after we found out. Nick and I left early and I called my parents and told them the situation, it took a few days of phone calls but we eventually made a plan. But if you don't like the plan we can change it and do whatever you want. I just want you to be happy." Alex answered as he rolled over onto his back placing his arm over his eyes. Gia rolled over so that she was partially on top of him and could look at his face.
