Gia looked out the window of the first class lounge at the snow and tried not to think about what was going to happen. She only wanted to be merry and revel in the love she knew Alex held for her, instead she felt miserable and depressed about her family and running away from them.

Alex came up behind her and pulled her against his chest, "Are you okay?"

"I was just thinking." Gia responded quietly.

"About what?" Alex queried.

"Earlier."

"I would expect a huge smile on your face, not this melancholy frown." Alex teased.

"Not that." Gia smiled broadly.

"What then?"

"When you said, none of this should matter."

"You mean the wedding?"

"Yes. I always dreamed of a big wedding with a beautiful white dress and my Daddy walking me down the aisle. Now my parents won't even look at me and I'm getting married in Copenhagen." Gia started to tear up again just thinking about how far from her dream she had strayed.

"We can wait if you want. Wait until after the baby comes and your parents have calmed down. They might be more accepting after they see our beautiful baby." Alex offered.

"I appreciate that, thank you." Gia said feeling a little relieved, "But I really don't think I can bring a baby into the world without being married."

"Then let's get married. How about January first?" He asked.

"But that is only a few days from now."

"I know but we can have everything arranged in no time, my parent's assistants will take care of everything."

"Do you have an assistant?"

"No just an agent."

"Can I invite Mallory to our wedding?"

"Sure."

"Only problem is we would have to pay for her ticket."

"That shouldn't be a problem. Have you told her?"

"Why wouldn't it be a problem? How much credit do you have on your little black card?" Gia asked curiously.

"It doesn't matter. Now back to Mallory."

"Um... not yet...I'll call her later." Gia said because she didn't want Alex to overhear her conversation with Mallory.

Gia tried to feel a little happier, but her happiness was still at bay. It would be until things got better with her family. But she was determined to try to be happy for Alex's sake.

Alex left Gia alone to go grab a snack so Gia pulled out her phone, "Hey Mall it's me." She started.

"Hey you did you have a nice Christmas?" Mallory asked.

"Not really, you?"

"Yes it was really fun. How is Mr. Perfect?" She asked.

"He asked me to marry him." Gia said flatly.

"You don't seem real excited about it, what seems to be the fucking problem?" She asked.

"The reason Alex wants to get married is because I'm...I'm...oh God this is really hard to say."

"You're fucking pregnant!" Mallory exclaimed in shock.

"Yes." Gia wailed into the phone crying deep choking sobs.
