The diamond ring was now remain wrapped around her finger. Reminding her that she is loved and cared for. It's also a reminder that someone is willing to stay with her for the rest of his life.

This news was so unbelievable that it has spreads throughout the city like wildfire. It seems like everybody she knew already knows about her engagement but still very clueless about the man she is engaged to. She had said multiple times, 'My fiancé is Alexander Flamingo. You know, the famous scientist who discovered the effect of penicillin on bacteria'. And she is getting really fed up from all the doubt and opinions people in the city was giving her.

What really got to her was one of her fiancé workers opinions. 'He may seem like a really decent guy, beware as he is not what he seems to be'. In which it left her concerns for her future plans. Beware of what? He is like an open book for her, the way he shivers when someone touch his neck, the way he talks differently when he's nervous for something, and the way he acts just gave away a lot of meanings. Amirah can't see anything to be worrying about, besides he even tries to cook something for her. She thought it was cute (even if he somehow almost manage to burn the apartment down).

Shedding of leaves were falling off from deciduous trees. Yellow, orange and red leaves, creating a beautiful sight for everyone's eyes. Pathways were covered with mixed coloured of autumn leaves as the newly affianced walk down the route of their life. Their hands were leaked together as they walk, while admiring the beauty of Mother Nature. Just knowing someone is right by your side is an incredible feeling.

"You know, I never knew we would get this far. I mean like 5 months of engagements is like, wow." Alexander was lost for words. The way everything has turns out to be was not what he expected.

"Yeah... Life just kept going, sooner or later we don't even expect to be in this position."

"I sometimes wonder what it be like to have a family."

A family? Maybe he is not that bad then she expected, from what she had seen so far she couldn't care less about other people's opinions. Does it even matters?

"What are you saying?" Playing dumb just to make sure what he's talking was the same thing as her thoughts.

"I mean like I want us to start a family together, have children and raise them together to become a great person. You got what I mean?"

"That sounds -" Should she do it? Should she marry this amazing man standing in front of her? Even if the citizen doesn't want her to? "-like a life full of wondrous."

They had stopped walking, which they then gaze into each other's eyes with affection. "So what do you say? Would you marry me?" He grinned.

No second chances or second thoughts. It all comes down to this. What should I say? Should I believe in those words everyone has said? I could refuse as well but that would seem unfair to him.

"I would be honour to marry you."

That is it, there's no going back now. What if it's a mistake? Then I'll prove them wrong.
