Knock knock
I lightly knocked on my front door, silently cursing my mother inside my head for making me knock on my own front door.
"Who is it?"
Hearing her scratchy voice from behind the door, I responded.
"It's your daughter."
The door swung open, her body filing the doorway space that separates the outside from the inside. She looked at me for a second before speaking.
"What happened to your face."
She didn't look worried as I lifted my hand up to the left side of my face to feel intense swelling.
".. I fell."
She sighed to herself before giving me a disappointed look.
"Well that sucks, maybe you shouldn't be such a clutz next time."
Ignoring her statement, I responded unenthusiastically, slightly annoyed by the fact that she didn't care about my well being at all.
"Can I come in now?"
She crossed her arms over her chest as she looked around outside then back at me.
"Don't you have friends, Lily? Go hang out with them, I have someone coming over."
".. I don't have any friends."
Annoyance ran across her face as she ran a frustrated hand through her hair.
"Then go to the park or something, I don't care. I just don't want you here."
Before I could even respond she slammed the door in my face.
I let out a loud sigh as swung my backpack off of my back, setting it on the ground next to the front door. Might as well go to the park since I have no where else to go.
On my way, I passed jungkook's house. It was completely silent. I didn't hear any yelling or things breaking on the inside when I past it. It was almost.. Unusual, in a way.
Once I made it to the park, I immediately sat in one of the swings. Lightly swinging myself, I let my mind drift off into space. I decided to not pay attention to anything that was going on in my life. I wanted to enjoy the fresh air while I could.
Suddenly brought back into reality, I heard light muffled sobs coming from somewhere in the park. Quickly looking around, I noticed someone sitting on the monkey bars facing away from me. The monkey bars were decently far away from the swings, far enough to where they didn't notice I was here yet.
Looking closer at the figure, I noticed the famous BTS jacket. I can only guess that it's one of the members. Why would one of them be crying?
I bit my lip, deciding whether or not I should check on them and make sure everything is alright. Curiosity taking over my mind, I sat up from the swings and walked quietly to where they were sitting.
As soon as I got close enough, I realized who it was.
"Jungkook?"
He quickly turned around, clearly startled from my sudden approach. His eyes were blood shot red, probably from the excessive crying he was doing. He turned back around, completely ignoring my presence and letting out a deep breath.
I lightly touched his shoulder trying desperately to somewhat comfort him in whatever he was dealing with. Even though he's a disgusting asshole, I'm not completely heartless.
He quickly pushed my hand off of his shoulder before standing up and facing me.
"Look, I don't need your fucking pity!"
He practically screamed it in my face before walking away from me.
I quickly grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks. He hissed slightly from what I can only guess as pain. Pulling his arm away from my grip, he glared at me. He looked as though he was about to hit me, so I decided to speak up.
"Please just let me help you-"
"Mind your own fucking business. I seriously don't need your fucking pity. Why would I tell my problems to a slut anyways."
He got quiet as he blurted out that last statement. Out of frustration he punched the monkey bars, making me completely quiet, slightly scared.
His gaze wondered to the left side of my face. Lifting his finger, he pointed at the swelling.
"You can't even take care of yourself. Don't even kid yourself, pretending you care about someone like me."
He readjusted his jacket and wiped his face.
"Just stay out of it."
Completely speechless, he turned away and started walking in the direction of his house.
Turning around he raised his hands in the air as he walked backwards away from me.
"Not everything is as it seems, right?"
He lightly smirked at me, pain clearly written across his face still. Turning his body in the right direction, he walked away, leaving me completely alone at the monkey bars.
Not everything is as it seems..
