A month or so has passed since Scorch started his search for a mate within the pack. With there being only three females and all of them eligible to be his mate he didn't have much to fall back on. Blitz thought of the possibilities of the females he could possibly be choosing like Angora. She's young and has a great spirit. Blitz got up and started to walk towards Carolin. He sat down next to her sleeping body and stared into the night sky. Blitz thought greatly and highly of Carolin, she is an amazing hunter and fighter, any pack would be lucky to have her, including us. Blitz gazed down at Carolin as she began to stir. She rolled over close to him and opened her eyes. "I didn't expect to see you here yet." She said. Blitz let out a chuckle, "You looked lonely sleeping all by yourself over here." Blitz laid down as Carolin curled up next to him. There was no doubt that they cared deeply for each other and wanted to be with one another always. The next morning, Scorch called out to the females to finally choose his mate. Everyone gathered around as he began to speak. "I have watches all there if you this past month or so,"he began,"and I believe I am finally ready to pick a mate." He sat and began to look at Angora then Carolin and to Kayler. Blitz watched silently and intently as Scorch scanned over them. His eyes locked on what was fixing to happen. Scorch lifted his head and looked out at the rest of the pack. "Your new Alpha Female is none other than Angora." Blitz's eyes flicked over to Carolin, she had been holding her breath. She looks relieved for it not to be her. "What!?" Called out a voice. "After all I have done for you and this pack, you pick HER, UNBELIEVABLE!" Blitz turned his head to find Kayler up on her paws pacing around Angora. "She is the youngest of the three of us and she has done nothing but play around with the rest of the pack this whole month yet you still pick HER?" Blitz couldn't believe what he was hearing. Kayler was verbally attacking her sister, who does that? Blitz watched wide eyed at Kayler and Angora, Kayler's was still going on about how bad of an alpha female Angora would be while Angora herself stared intently back at Kayler. Carolin began to stand up and walked over the Scorch and whispered something in his ear. He turned his head and nodded as if to grant permission. She walked over to the two wolves and sat down in between them. Kayler quit her rambling to turn and glare at Carolin. What is she doing? Blitz asked himself. Does she want to start something with Kayler? "Kayler this needs to stop, now." Carolin stated harshly. "What authority do you have over me Carolin," her sister began," I don't recall you being higher ranking than I as Beta." Scorch got up and snapped at Kayler. She jumped back in surprise. "Not anymore Kayler," Scorch said,"you will no longer stand as Beta but your sister Carolin will take that position." Kayler stood jaw dropped at Scorch. "But, but, I worked so hard to earn this spot." Blitz watched as Kayler began to tremble with anger and sadness. She looked over at Carolin. "This is your fault Carolin," she growled,"and I will never forgive you." Kayler turned around and ran to her den. Blitz searched for a way to help Carolin fix things up with her sister but he realized he didn't know much about Kayler. All he could do was comfort her.
Carolin's P.O.V.
That night, Kayler hadn't left her den to join the pack to eat so Carolin placed a rabbit next to the opening of her den. She didn't know what else to say to Kayler or if she could try and talk to her anyway. It seemed as if Kayler wanted nothing t do with her anymore. Carolin spoke into the opening if the den. "I brought you a rabbit Kayler, just to let you know." There was nothing in response. Carolin huffed and went back to lay with Angora. "Don't beat yourself up sis." Angora began,"She'll get over it eventually." Carolin looked up at her sister. She didn't feel like Kayler ever would get over it but, there was something about her sisters words that seemed like they were full of wisdom and knowing. She trusted Angoras kind words and stopped worrying so much about it. It was getting darker and it was time to sleep. Carolin watched as Angora entered a den with Scorch and the others in the dens around her. She turned around to go find hers. In this pack, two wolves will den together so there is more space for the rest, except for Kayler ,of course, she just had to get her way and get her own den to herself. Carolin walked into her den to find Blitz already half asleep. He lifted his head to look at Carolin and smiled. She stared at Blitz for the longest time before she finally settled down next to him.

Carolin ran as fast as her legs could take her with Blitz hot on her heels. What were they chasing after? She couldn't even hear any paw steps anywhere. She looked up and saw a flash of white in the trees before it disappeared. Carolin skidded to a halt and turned around to see the white blur quickly moving from tree to tree. They pursued it once more. Waiting for that right moment, she had an idea. She began to slow down gradually until she was completely stopped; Blitz did the same knowing what she was doing. And when they stopped so did the creature up in the trees. Knowing they had its attention now, she sat down casually on the grass as Blitz stayed standing and waited. The white blur jumped down from the tree in front of them. Carolin's jaw dropped, she couldn't believe what was standing in front of them. "You now know where to find me." It had said before she woke up next to Blitz, in her den, before sunrise.Hey guys!
