Taylor's POV
I looked out at the crowd excitedly. Today was the day. Adrenaline thrummed through my veins just like it did when ever I performed on stage, but my nerves were heightened by the circumstances.
Today was the day that I was going to propose to my girlfriend Karlie.
I looked excitedly at her, her blonde framed face peeking excitedly round the curtains at the entrance to backstage. I continued to sing to the crowd, finishing the show.
"Thank you all for coming!" I spoke into the mic. "I love you so much!"
Exiting the stage, I instantly search for the green eyed beauty that possessed my every thought.
"Taylor!" Her voice rang out behind me. I turned around, instantly wrapping my arms around her and hugging her close. "You were amazing out there babe!"
"Karls," I mumbled into her shoulder. She was one of the few people taller than me. "I'm so glad you could make it."
"Of course" she said, kissing the top of my head.
"Follow me!" I detached myself from her urgently, grabbing her hand and pulling her after me. I could feel the small, light circle in my pocket like a weight even though it was delicate.
"Where are we going?" She giggled. I laughed at her cluelessness, and also at her adorable giggle.
"You'll find out!" I sang to her.
"Taylor!!" She replied, chiding me. I giggled in reply. Eventually we got to a staircase. "Why are we here?" She asked, oblivious. I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Go on babe." I edged her on up the stairs. She cautiously started to walk up, laughing nervously. My heart thumped with nerves. She had no idea.
We eventually got onto a small landing with an old wooden door with crackling paint. The landing was only about a metre wide, so I had to stand right behind her. I placed my hands delicately on her hips. I leant in close to her ear whispering "close your eyes."
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Just close your eyes." I pulled her to the side, so that her back was against the wall and so that I could open the door. I left a ghost of a kiss on her lips, drawing away as soon as she went to kiss me back. I smiled coyly and opened the door, dragging her after me.
"Open your eyes Karls."

Karlie's POV
My heart was thumping apprehensively. What was Taylor doing? I opened my eyes, and the breath left my lungs.
We were standing on a roof, alone. The wide expanse of the sky loomed everywhere. Twinkling stars dotted the swirling blue and black, the bright moon a burning silver sliver hanging up high. The city lights were dimmed and stunning, the rare late night car horns and nighttime bustle of city life felt far away and small.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Taylor's sing song voice grabbed my attention instantly as she stepped next to me.
"Yeah. It really is. Thank you for showing me this."
"I love you, you know that, right?"
"I love you too." I replied instantly, knowing that I was sure in that knowledge.
"I love you so much Karlie, it scares me sometimes. I want to spend my life with you, to grow old together, no matter what anyone thinks about us."
I blushed at her words. We'd been together for two years, even though the public knew nothing about it, but she still always managed to make my stomach do flips. Taylor turned to me, grabbing my left hand in both of hers. She paused momentarily.
"Karlie, will you marry me?"
All words left my mind and my throat closed up in surprise. I felt my mouth curve into a massive smile.
"Oh my god Taylor" I breathed, pausing in my ecstasy. "Yes!" I said finally, knocking the look in Taylor's eyes from nervous to gleaming euphoria. "Yes Tay yes!"
She smiled and slipped a ring into my finger. The moonlight reflected off the thin strip of sliver and the single gleaming diamond. I could see the stars in her eyes...I always could, but now I could see them reflecting in the happy tears she was resisting shedding.
"I love you so much." She murmured before leaning in and kissing me. I smiled into the kiss clumsily and kissed back.
"I love you more." I whispered, dragging my tongue along her lip.
"Impossible." She giggled, and we kissed again. I could do this everyday for the rest of my life, and now, I would.

Thanks so much for reading! Another one shot. There shouldn't be any spelling mistakes or anything but just point it out if there is. I can't handle my lil gay kaylor heart.
