After dinner, I went to my room and called my friend, Alberto. I had him come in my room to give me special tattoos. They're tattooed replicas of the drawings I made when I was little, you know when Mr. Nakpil found me. Those were happy drawings on the paper, and now they're on my arms.
At around 2:00 am, I had a hard time sleeping. I felt like I was being summoned by someone. Like, they didn't want me to sleep. How dare you! I love my sleep... I kept wrestling myself in my sleep until this weird feeling will go away.
When I opened my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw. I saw Rod, JJ, and Travis sitting on my bed, waiting for me to wake up.
"What the hell?!" I was highly confused.
"Don't worry, Jen," spirit of Rod said. "This is just us guys speaking from being the grave."
"You're super pissed that you're dead, right?" I asked.
"Well, of course!" We engaged in a conversation. "Jen, do you know how hard it is to look hunkalicious and no girl would appreciate it because we're dead and that type of thing 'doesn't matter anymore.' Like that the f?"
I scoffed. Ugh.
"Do you forgive me yet?" JJ said, hoping.
I just took a good look at him.
"Yeah, sure, I guess.""It sucks we barely dated for two weeks and then I got killed," Travis sadly said.
"I dated her for 12 years," JJ rubbed it in.
They had a mini arm punch fight, but got over it.
"So where are you guys, heaven? Hell?"
"Actually, I don't know." Rod said.
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"Well, it's just dead people walking, running, sitting, Talking, crying in a void."
"A void? For real?"
"Yes, for real."
I scoffed again. The void sucks.
"Jen, there's a reason the three of us came here."
"And that is?"
JJ and Travis look at each other.
"We don't want you to date Liam!" They said in unison.
"Um, and why is that?"
"Well, then what about us?"
"Listen, I love you two, but you're dead. I can't spend my whole life mourning over you two."
"She's right, boys!" Rod says. Rod agrees with me. Rod always agrees with me. That's what I like about Rod.
He continued to speak.
"She has to go on with her life. She's been single for about two years, right?""Right.
"Eventually she's gonna fall in love. Let her go. And Jen, you go for it!"
"I guess you're right," Travis calmed.
"Of course I'm right. It's sad That she can't date anybody because of you two."
"Fine Jen. But please, don't forget what we had..." JJ pleaded.
"I won't, hot shot."
He smiled.
Travis and Rod continued talking.
"Oh and Jen?"
"Yeah, Travis?"
"You should talk to your sister."
"I thought you boys only came here to convince me not to date Liam. You failed, by the way. But why is my sister involved?"
"Jen, you two should patch up the pain. You make it sound like she's the biggest bitch in the world."
"That's because she IS the biggest bitch in the world!"
"Jen, that was over 20 years ago. She probably changed by now."
"Probably?"
"Give it a shot. At least get to know each other again. Is she living okay? Are your biological parents still alive? Stuff like that."
"Fine, but only because you convinced me to, Rod."
They all smiled.
They all got up.
"Well, we gotta get going Jen. We gotta go back to the void. Talk to your sister. It'll be a good decision."
I woke up again, but this time they were gone.
