Chapter 21: Jen Nakpil always wins

Dezrei's point of view

I know mommy Jen and daddy Liam are looking for me. I want them to find me. I don't want my real parents to find me.

I've had so much fun with Jen and Liam. They are the best parents ever! I miss my old daddy Maristella, and he will never be forgotten. I ran away because I wanted to go back to Jen. I didn't know where her house was, so I tried looking. LA is so big.

I remembered all the stuff I did with Jen and her family.

Flashback 1:
I couldn't sleep. I walked to my door and opened it, and Jen was standing outside by the bathroom door.

"Mm, What's up?" She said.

"I can't sleep. Why are you up?"

"Audrey's taking too long in the bathroom."

I smiled.

"If you can't sleep, come with me. I know a method that you could do. I do it when I can't sleep."

We walked to the pool in the backyard.

"So, sit down by the pool, and trace a smiley face on the stars."

I did it, and it was fun. She did it all the time, and when she got sleepy, she'd go back to her room and sleep.

"JEN!" Audrey had yelled out to show she's done using the toilet.

"Alright kiddo, if you get sleepy, you know where your room is. Goodnight."

Flashback 2

It was with Liam. He was checking himself out in the mirror.

I did a little model pose, and he laughed.

"You gonna be a model when you grow up?" He asked.

"Maybe, if Jen let's me." 😄

He laughed.
"Don't worry sweetie, you'll be a great model if Jen let's you."

Flashback 3

It was with cherry. We just kept laughing together. We basically laughed at every bad thing (unlucky) that happened to everybody in the house. Like slipping.

Flashback 4

It was with Marissa. I always pretend I'm handcuffing my stuffed animals with these toy handcuffs Marissa gave me when I was 7. She'd always be proud of me.

Flashback 5

It was with Bea Bianca. She was playing "vapor" by 5sos. I was singing along to it, and she was so happy when I did. We sang along together to every 5sos song that day.

Flashback 6

It was with Audrey.

She was wearing ear muffs. I got a pair of muffs and put them on next to her. She was smiling and we hugged and talked a lot.

Flashback 7

Morgan. Morgan always carried me and let me pretend that I could fly. Then she'd give me piggy back rides. Morgan and Jen are so fun to piggy back ride on.

Flashback 8

I remember, Liam picked me up from school.

"She's here!" He yelled as he walked inside carrying me.

Everybody, literally everybody (Jen, Marissa, cherry, Bea Bianca, Audrey, and Morgan) came dashing down fighting over who gets to play with me first.

Present

I've realized for a long time this family loves me. I'll never  love anyone more than how I love them.

Jen's POV
I set up fliers so we can get more attention to help look for Dezrei. The reward is "$2,000,000"

Luckily, a woman called the number attached.

"Hello? Do you know where Dezrei is?" I answered.

"Yeah, your little girl is here at the precinct."

"Thank you so much!" I ran to my car and drove to the precinct, and gave the heroic woman $2,000,000.

"Dezrei!" I yelled out.

"Mommy!!" She exclaimed as she ran and gave me a tight hug.

"Oh, please don't run away like that again."

"I won't."

Dezrei's idiot biological parents came in. I pulled Dezrei far away from them so they wouldn't touch her.

"I don't want you anywhere near Dezrei! I don't care if you're the biological parents! She's not safe whenever she's with you."

I didn't let them explain, and I took Dezrei back home.

I carried her inside and yelled out," she's here!"

Everybody came running in, fighting over who gets to hug Dezrei first.

She was home :)
