She stepped into her now stuffy apartment, shit I forgot to open the windows, she thought while mentally kicking herself in the butt and opening some windows. Her apartment was a decent size, fit just for her. She went into her bathroom in her blue and gold themed bedroom and took a long, deserved shower. Washing different sections of her body and her hair, she felt a sense of relief.

Once she got out, she wrapped her body and her hair in different towels, and entered her bedroom. She switched her music player on and the soothing voice of Jhene Aiko filled the atmosphere.

What to wear?.. She thought whilst looking through her closet, going through all the outfits she had. She opted for a peachy knee length dress and a brown leather jacket, for shoes she chose a pair of brown wedges to go with her outfit. She slid on the appropriate underwear after apply body lotion to her body. She sprayed some sweet smelling perfume onto her bare skin and dressed herself.

She decided upon wearing her dark brown curls down and applied some product so that they would hold. She put on a little lip gloss and mascara, she was just going to listen to some poetry so she kept it casual. She grabbed her purse, with all her essentials in it,switched her music player and some lights off and locked her apartment. She walked to the parking garage and got into her beetle,it wasn't much but it was dear to her heart, her first car she'd recieved when she was in high school, from her now deceased grandfather. She loved her car and wouldn't trade it for anything better.

She drove to the poetry shack which was 15 minutes away from her apartment building. She found a good parking spot and entered looking for Jordan. She found her, seated at a table near the front listening to the poet express words from the train of her mind.

"Hey Jor, have you been waiting long?" She asked her long time friend while giving her a side hug and sitting opposite from her.

"No not at all Carls,I just got here like 5 minutes ago, you look dashing as always" she said examining her friend.

"Thank you" she said with a beaming smile.

"Oh wow, I'm sure people tell you that all the time and you're smiling like you've won the lotto" That's what you think, Carly thought while examining her friend,Jordan. She had golden brown skin, hazel eyes and sandy brown hair. Her body,oh her body was to die for,any man would be lucky to score her,not only because of her physical beauty but the beauty she had within. She was always there for Carly and Carly was always there for her.

"Says the beauty herself, would you like anything to drink?" Carly asked her friend as she called a waiter over.

"Yeah sure, uhm an apple martini please" she said facing the waiter.

"Make that two" she said while the waiter nodded and headed to the bar situated on her far right. They listened to the poets and spoke about the events in their lives.

As they enjoyed their martinis, Carly spotted a figure, a figure that looked like her imagination created him before her eyes, dark brown eyes that met hers as soon as she met them, her breath immediately got caught in her throat and she looked down.

Jordan noticed Carly's behavior and turned around and saw what caused such a strong reaction out of Carly. His eyes was fixated on Carly with a smirk and he looked away with a smirk still on his face. He polished his drink and walked over to their table.

Carly felt herself tensing up within every step he took, she didn't know him but she had a strong reaction to the thought of him.

"Good evening ladies, you're extremely beautiful and I have this urge, I dont know why, but I would like to unwrap your mind,if you'd let me"  he said staring at Carly, she felt her cheeks burning and tried to hide it by looking away. She'd gotten attention from somebody she'd hoped to get attention from.

"I don't even know your name, you could be some weird pervert stalker dude for all I know" Carly said looking at him but instantly looking away. She didn't want him to see how much she wanted his attention. She hasn't received such attention in a long time.

"I'm Chaston Raymond, and I won't stop until you at least give me your phone number" he said with his eyes still fixated on Carly.

"Why would I give my number to some weirdo that I met at Poetry Shack" Carly said still looking away.

"I think you should give me your number because you're intrigued by me" he said with his smirk returning. So confident and flirtatious, she thought, it was a total turn-off for her.

"I think its time that I should leave,Jor I love you babe,I'll text you once I get home" She got up from her seat and practically stormed out of the Poetry Shack.

She drove home in silence, she hated when that happened, she'd think somebody was the person she was looking for and once she spoke to them,it was pure disappointment.

She walked into her apartment with disappointment written on her forehead. She changed into some sweats and got straight into bed, drifting off to sleep with the fantasies of love and happiness.
