Chaston. He was the one who admitted to having feelings for Carly. He cared for her in more ways then one. He was a friend that anybody could ask for, but now that's changed. She realized that she hadn't given him the time of day but openly accepted Brandon.

The next day, Carly spent a lot of time thinking about what happened in her living room. She decided to text Chaston saying that he should come over so that they could speak, properly this time. He accepted her offer and said that he would be there in an hours time.

She was nervous beyond belief because she didn't wanna hurt his feelings. He was a good guy and she knew it but she has Brandon now. She didn't wanna complicate things, both of them knew from the start that it was strictly a friendship, nothing more or nothing less. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. She answered it welcoming Chaston into her apartment and lead him to the sofa.

"Hey" she said smiling at him. Here was the moment.

"Hi" he said not making eye contact with her.

"Would you like anything to eat or drink?"

"A glass of water please" he said with his elbows resting on his knees and his hands clasped. She made her way to the kitchen and poured bottled water and ice cubes into a glass. She walked back into the lounge and handed him the water.

"Thank you" he said accepting it and taking a few sips.

"So about last night, you-" in mid sentence her phone started vibrating. It was Brandon. She replied to his text.

"What was that Carly?" He said setting his water down on the coffee table.

"Uhm,yeah, you told me you have feelings for me, where is this all coming from?" She said still chatting away on her phone.

"You're a great person, honestly, and if you don't feel the same way I would understand, did I ruin our friendship?" He said looking st her while she was staring down at her phone, smiling and typing away.

"Carly?" He said trying to get her attention but he still hadn't.

"You know what, fuck this, I'm here trying to explain myself which you wanted but you're not even paying attention to me, this is a waste of my time" he said getting up.

"No Chaston wait" she said as she got up also.

"I'm not being acknowledged so why should I sit here and watch some other dude creep up on you" he said facing her.

"I'm sorry, can things just go back to the way they were" she said looking up at him.

"Sure, you ignore me, I run after you, I'm sure that's what you want" he said stepping closer to her.

"That's not true" she said stepping back.

"I should've known, you wouldn't even give me a chance if I was the last guy on the planet" he said closing the inches between them.

"That's not true" she said looking down.

"You're acting like it is true" he said lifting her chin with his index finger.

"Chas, don't" she said barely above a whisper.

"And if I do? Who's gonna tell me what to do or are you afraid your boyfriend will find out" he said smirking.

"You're ruining our friendship" she said closing her eyes. He kissed her in her lips. It was brief but his lips were so soft.

"You're right, but just that one time meant the world to me, I'll see you around Carly, this never happened and I didn't tell you how I feel, back to normal I guess, just for you" he said backing away from her and letting himself out.

He left her standing there in one spot. She touched her lips with her finger tips, I can't believe he kissed me, she thought. She was so happy but so confused. The kiss, it felt amazing to her even though it was just a peck. She didn't understand what was happening to her. One minute she's head over heels for Brandon and the next she's going crazy for Chaston.

She sat on her sofa, thinking about the situation, he wanted to forget about it but I'll remember it. She sighed and switched her phone off. She made herself dinner and ate it. She ended up drinking a whole bottle of wine and passed out on her sofa with thoughts of Brandon and Chaston.
