Poison: Chapter Five

It was now Friday morning. Carly woke up with a headache and decided that she would stay in. She took a shower,dressed in clean clothes and got back into bed. As soon as she closed her eyes again, her phone started buzzing.

"Hello?" She said in an exhausted tone.

"Good morning sunshine,did I wake you?" Chaston's voice filled her ears.

"No not at all,I just have a headache so I decided to stay in" she said turning to lay on her side.

"Poor baby, I can bring you some breakfast and aspirin if you'd like" he said sounding concerned.

"That would be lovely thank you, I'll text you my address okay?"

"Sure,see you in a few beautiful" and with that he hung up.

She texted him her address and decided upon watching TV. She was watching Empire and a few minutes into it she heard her door bell ringing. She got out of bed and unlocked her door to find Chaston standing there.

"Well don't you look scrumptious" he said jokingly.

"Oh please,come inside" she said making way for him.

"I got your favorite breakfast from the diner,Fran helped me out and aspirin and candy, I didn't know which candy you like so I bought different types" he said opening the paper bag he was carrying.

"Thank you Chas,that was so sweet of you" she said closing the door and following him to her living room.

"Chas huh? Giving me nicknames already?" He said smiling at her.

"Yeah why not?" She said smiling back at him and sitting down. He sat down next to her and unpacked everything.

"Let me get you some water for your aspirin" he said making his way to the kitchen. He returned with the water and set it on the table.

"Today you're going to do nothing but be treated like the queen that you are" he said preparing everything on her coffee table.

"I appreciate it,thank you" she said sitting back.

"Imma feed you, I'm sorry if I accidentally stab your face with the fork but hey you won't have to use your hands" he said sectioning her breakfast and adding some pancakes to the fork. He brought it to her mouth with his hand a few centimeters under it incase it falls. She smiled and opened her mouth while he fed her the pancakes. He fed her all her breakfast and went to dispose of the empty containers.

"Now its time for aspirin,with that I think you should use your hands, just in case I spill water on you" he said returning back to his seat.

"Well alright then" she said drinking the tablet with some water.

"I know what you said about being friends Carls and I'm good with that, in my opinion this is what friends should do for one another" he said opening a pack of candy.

"Yes I agree, I appreciate this so much" she said looking at him with a thankful smile.

"Anytime, I'll always be there when you need me,just a click on your phone and I'm there" he said popping some candy into his mouth.

"Don't eat all the candy now,its my favorite type in the entire bag" she said in a childish tone.

"I actually brought this for myself but the queen can have whatever she wants" he said smiling and handing it to her.

"Thank you" she said eating a few pieces.

Throughout the day they spoke, laughed,ate candy and watched TV,before they both knew it they were laying side by side asleep on her couch. Tonight was the night of Carly's date with Brandon but sleep interrupted her planning.

Her phone vibrated viciously on the table, waking both her and Chaston up. It was a text from Brandon explaining the theme for the evening, the time he would pick her up and he asked for her address too.

Chaston saw the message and took it as his cue to leave. He got up from the couch and made sure he had all his belongings.

"I'll see you another time since you're busy" he said sounding salty.

Carly didn't even acknowledge him until she heard the door shut. She felt bad for him because he'd been by her side all day.

"Well let's prepare for tonight" she said aloud making her way to her bedroom.
