I had that same terrible nightmare again, and even though I knew what was going to happen..I couldn't change the outcome. No matter what in the end I would end up alone, with eveyone I loved slaughtered on the ground. With their blood on my hands. I must of been screaming again because I woke up being held in cody's arms, telling me that it was just a dream. After waking up and realizing that everyone was okay I just sat there, silent. Before I knew it Tina came in and started to tell me breakfast was ready, but when she saw us on the floor she smiled at me and backed out of my room. I asked cody, "What time is it anyway? I'm sorry I woke you again. It's just..." The thought of my dream sent sent more tears into my eyes, and cody rocked me some more.

"It's like 5 in the morning, and dont worry I was just about to wake you up anyways. We have to figure out how to fix that sheild." He sent to me and i just stayed there acting as if I didnt hear it. Then I heard him chuckle, " I know you heard me don't try to go back to sleep. Come on get up sleepy head." I laughed as he tried to push me off the bed but I was holding onto the nightstand for dear life. It was like this for at least five minutes when Tina came and ended up on the floor laughing at me, Then she got up and started helping Cody push me off, " You traitor, I see where you how it is." I say laughing which makes me hit the cold hard floor with a loud THUD.  After they had their laughing fit Cody came and sat on the floor with me. "Awe come on you can't be that mad at me now can you," I said absolutely nothing. Then he started to tickle me and said," You know that you liked it." I looked at him and just smiled because he was right. So I jumped up and ran into the closet and put on a random pair of jeans and a red tank top along with my converse. When I stepped out, Tina had left leaving Cody all by himself. He didn't hear me step out so I decided to jump on him and scare him for the start of his long term payback. We landed on the bed and I hear Cody laughing. "I had a feeling you were going to do that." I just laughed and kissed him. He looked at me for a while and then I smiled at him and said, " See you at breakfast." He looked at me confused, but I was already halfway down the stairs laughing before he fully understood what was going on.

Course not to my suprise, berakfast was over and everything was out away. I found Mr.Martin sitting in the living room which had been turned into an armory, cleaning his gun. I decided to bug him till Cody came down, and besides, I had to ask him alot of questions for him. He looked up as I sat next to him. There were so many Questions that I wanted to ask him, but the first one that came out was," What did you mean that I was the first to be able to catch my hands on fire? Because you knew that it wasnt hurting me." He sighed as if he didnt want to anwser my questions but he knew that I wasnt going to leave so he out down the gun and looked stright at me with a cold dead look in his eyes and said, " You really don't know anything that your father did.....do you?" I shook my head, " No I knew that he was a researcher for some major company, but he never talked about it. Why...what did I miss?"

Mr.Martin's eyes grew wide, "wow I never thought that he would of kept you that far into the dark. Alice. there is no easy way to say this, but your father was a researcher for a major company...that part is true, but what he left out was that in was way he knew what was going to happen...the outbreak I mean. So he and I along with a small team tried to find a solution to the virus to give to the population before it could spread. As you can tell, sadly we never found a cure. Your father was the only one who came close to a beta product, but it only worked on 3 percent of the people we tried it on." He paused for a second to gather his thoughts and then began again." Your father loved you and your family very much, there's no doubt about it, so he gave you and your family a dose of the beta antidote without you knowing. From the looks of it...it was not effective for your mother and brother, and I'm sorry for that. Yet you and your sister survived."

The question just blurted out ,"Just because we survived doesn't mean anything, right?"  He sighed, " Not exactly. Your father was not the only one who secretly injected their family with the beta antivirus. Every one on the team. The only way that we could tell if the antivirus really work is if they mutated and received powers, depending on their personality. Though it doesn't mean that they are totally immune to the antivirus is if...." Then he faded away as if he were telling someone the sad ending to a story. Yet I had to know the rest of it. There was no doubt about that. Seeing that I wasn't going to leave at this point he continued. " If the patient can produce everything power wise, and excels in pyro abilities." He saw that I was about to say something, so he raided his hand and continued. " Yes that means you, but there are others like you. I'm sad to say....The reason that I was mad yesterday was because I knew for sure that you were immune."

" But why would that be a bad thing? I mean now that we know that I'm immune we can figure out a cure and....and..." I blurted out now having more questions than I could handle. " NO!" he yelled and startled me. " I mean no hell no. First of I don't have that type of equipment anymore. Plus the process is so painful that not only have we not completely not successfully preformed it, but the patient dies halfway through the process anyway. I promised your father that I would make sure that you were going to live, even if it meant that I did not."
