Bad Memories

I waited for the burn and the pain of the bite but it never came. After what seemed forever I opened my eyes and found that the pshyco had ran away. Calming down a little bit. I ran to the house, when I got there I collapse on the floor and started shaking. " Well you are full of trouble aren't ya?" I looked up to see Jen with a shotgun her hands.

I didn't know wether or not to laugh or slap the crap out of her. But I never got the chance to do anyone of those cus as soon as she finished her sentence Cody was right beside me pulling me into his arms. Jen seemed to understand that she wasn't needed anymore, and that teasing me would not be a good idea at the time. When she left all she said was "lucky I didn't blow her head off. Be more careful next time."

knowing that her scolding was nothing comapared to the one I as about to receive from Cody. When she was out of earshot Cody said," What were you thinking? Do you know how much you scared me and your sisters? We heard screaming but Jen wouldn't let us out because it was already dark. Yet that didn't stop me from breaking the wall..." As he continued to rant and rave I looked at his bandaged hand that I hadn't noticed when he first came in. Realizeing that he was was raising his voice I tuned back into his little hissy fit." Are you even listening to me Alice you almost died and turned into one of them and then what was I suppose to do then? I couldn't kill you because I love you to much and..." I tensed in his arms a little bit processing what he just said. He loves me. I just could believe it so I continued to think about it. I never got to close to anyone except jazz and tina because if I got to close to other people there was a chance that they could be turned, and make me weak. Like my parents and brother..I threw the bad thoughts out of my mind. I swore that night that I would never let that happen again. Not if I could help it.

A hand flew across my face which sent me back into the present. " Really your spacing out again have you not heard a word I have said this entire time?" Feeling guilty for making him worry I whispered," I'm sorry I fell asleep and forgot about the time." He lifted my chin up so that I could look him in the eye. " Did u hear me." He said in a calm tone. " I said I love you and I was worried sick. Please don't ever Ever scare me again." I gave him a small nod and then I kissed him. It was electrifying, and burned but in a good way that I wanted more. But the burning got worse and when we both pulled away I almost passed out. " Wha...what just happened?" I asked out of breath. Cody stared at me with little beams of sweat going down his face." I..I don't know. But I'm so sorry that I hurt you." He picked me up and started walking up the stairs heading in my room.But before he could make it there I asked him," Can I sleep with your tonight please? I don't want to be alone." He looked at me and turned around and went back to the stairs." Alright, just tonight because if Jen catches you then your in trouble." I just smiled and pressed my face into his shirt the rest of the way to his room.

When we got there he gently laid me down and then laid down right besides me and started smiling. " What?" I asked feeling as if I had missed something important. " Nothing." he said as he pushed some of my hair back from my face. As much as I hated it I fell asleep and had the worst nightmare ever.

It started out as if we were back in Texas jazz, Tina, my parents, brother, Cody and I were in the backyard by the BBQ pit when all of a sudden a pshycos came running through the yard and bit my brother. "Ahh!!!!!!!!" He screamed as blood was running out of his throat. We all jumped up and pulled the pshyco off of him but by the time we finally did it was to late. He was already dead from bleeding out. I used my powers and sent the pshyco on fire but it wouldn't go down. Instead it set my parents on fire and then went after my sisters. As I went to go help them my brother who I had forgotten about reanimated, and attacked Cody. I woke up screaming and drenched in sweat. Cody quickly sat up and started shaking me. " ALICE Alice it was only a dream its ok calm down its okay." As I realized that it was him I started crying , and didn't stop till I had no more tears to cry. All the while Cody is rubbing my back and trying to calm me down.

Afterwards someone knocked on the door saying that breakfast was down and that Mr.Martin wanted to see Cody. So we went down to see what he wanted. " Hey yall I'm starting class in 20 mins in the feilds." When he looked at me and asked me through my mind," are you alright you look like crap?". I just laughed and noded my head . Cody looked at me like he was missing something but I just squeezed his hand and mouthed "ill tell you later." He just dismissed it and Mr.Martin started again. " Yall are all welcome to come and ill see yall in 20 mins." And just like that he was gone. Cody looks at me and says" so we have 20 mins, what do ya wanna do? I looked at him and gave him a mischievous smile. " I'm getting breakfast, And I'm gonna beat you to the table because I'm going to class." And I started running with Cody laughing close at my heels.
