Chapiter Five

I walked home with Dan to his flat.

He tried to make it less awkward by asking me about myself. I told him that I was from the US and that I moved here to get a writing opportunity because of all of the publishing companies. It turned out that Dan had lived in the UK for his entire life and he met his roommate or flatmate as they called it here only a couple of years ago.

"He's my best friend." explained Dan while opening the door. "The first best friend that I've ever had."

I smiled at him. "That's so sweet."

Dan ducked his head embarrassed. "Um there'ssomethingelseIdidn'ttellyou" He said quickly.

"What?" I asked him bewildered. "What did you say?"

"Um I didn't tell you something when we first met...I make YouTube videos and so does Phil."

"Oh that's cool! So why is that such a big deal?"

Dan shifted his weight before replying.

"We're pretty famous for it."

He looked at me as if he was expecting me to run away screaming.

I just repeated. "That's cool. Dan why are you so nervous about it?"

He smiled and said "I'm basically famous for being a giant nerd."

I smiled and walked after him into his flat.

Sorry for the shortest chapter ever! I just need a whole chapter for the next scene.
