Chapter Five: Age 25

Meredith and Alex walked up to the hospital they grew up in. Outside stood three other interns, two girls, and one boy. One girl had long blonde hair, and pretty blue eyes. The other was like the black sister. She had black curly hair, her eyes were almost black, and wore a leather jacket. She looked bored, Meredith automatically hated her. The boy. That's what he was. A boy. He had a boy face. His eyes were pale blue. Alex grabbed Meredith hand.
"Oh! Hi! Are you an intern?" asked the blonde, Meredith nods. Blondie is ecstatic. "Oh my God!! How crazy? Why'd you choose to come here? Why not Mercy West? Oh, I should probably ask what's your name?" She gives Meredith a winning smile. Meredith has a look of 'what is wrong with her?' Then a boy with a baby face comes over and says,
"Hey, I'm George, and that's my sister Izzie." Alex looked doubtful so did Meredith. They about a much alike as a rock did to a flower. "Our dad left when we were kids. Took Izzie with him, she grew up in a trailer park, and became a model, I grew up in the back woods and worked at a McDonald's, and then we went to med school. We didn't recognize each other at first but then Proffeser Dan called out our last names, but hers is now Stevens and Mines O'mally." Alex couldn't care less, and Meredith thought it was sweet and everything but she didn't care.
"Well, That's Alex, Alex Karev, and I'm Meredith." Meredith purposefully left out her last name. Just in case. Then That Black sister turned and said, "If we're doing introductions, I'm Christina Yang, but I never heard you last name Meredith, so when we're in the hospital I can call you by Dr. ...??" Meredith took a deep breath and said. "In the hospital, you can call my Dr.Grey." everyone except Alex looked at her with wide eyes.
"Wait your..."
"Ellis Grey's daughter yes. Let's not dwell on it. Dr.Bailey will be waiting" Meredith walked into the Hospital holding hands with Alex and the interns followed.
