Hey, I am so sorry about not updating any chapters. I have been so so so busy and I just got a new job, but I will try my hardest to update more often.
I stare, dumbfounded. Derek just slapped Addison across her face, in the middle of the hospital.
"Dammit! You stupid bitch!" Derek yells at Addison, she glares at him and just as suddenly, punches him in his nose. I almost laugh at how her tiny fist does so much damage.
"Derek! You are a piece of shit husband! How DARE you touch me like that!" Addison is advancing on Derek, and he actually is retreating. "I came back to fix things! I am trying Derek but after you just tried to assault her," she flings her finger at me,"We are done! But don't worry, I will make your life a living hell, might as well say good bye to your job, your home in Washington, EVERYTHING you care and love will be gone. Oh, and I will make sure Amelia knows what happened."
Derek looks at her and then me with hatred in his eyes, "Well, good luck." He says, so casually that a real pang of fear goes through me.
Addison turns to me, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but you have to teach me how to throw that punch." She laughs but I can see the pain in her eyes as the fire in her goes out. "I'm going to go find Alex, do you want me to go get someone for you?"
"No, I'm going to go see Odessa." She turns on her heel and quickly walks to the Daycare.
I start looking for Alex, I need his comforting touch, I find him sleeping in the on call room, so I snuggle up next to him. I lay my head on is chest, he stirs and looks down at me, he notices my red cheek from where Derek grabbed my face and is alert instantly.
"What happened?!" his fingertips are probing the area, his eyes intent. I start to tell him everything, I had just gotten to the part where Derek pushed me into an on call room when Alex jumps to his feet and starts to barrel out the door.
"Alex! Alex! Stop! Stop NOW!" I yell and grab his arm tight, and plant my feet on he ground going dead weight so he can't move.
"I'm going to kill him!"
"No you are not! Addison is going to ruin him, once he is out of the job you can ruin his face but right now he still holds a degree of power and I don't feel like losing our jobs!"
He takes a deep breath, "You're right, I'm sorry."
"I know I'm right." I kiss him once softly, then gently caresses my bak with his hand and moves us toward the bed.
