Lance Corporal Levi was a short man, taller than me though. He was the one who took in Hanna and I off the streets. He looks cold and well-mannered but he must have some heart to help us. "Hello Corporal." I said. He looked at me, "Good day, Princess."
"Please, everybody calls me Princess, call me Nana."I held my hands together. "I never did say thank you. So thank you." I said and smiled. He crossed his arms. "Your welcome." He said. This was awkward for the both of us. I remembered what Hanji had said about him taking a liking to me. I reminded him of himself when he was younger. But we are nothing alike.
"Do you want to talk in private?" I asked. He uncrossed his arms. "Sure."
We went into the hallway outside. It was much quieter and I enjoyed the peace. "So, Corp-""When we are alone, you call me Levi, alright?" He said.
"Right, Levi. Anyways, I wanted to talk to you." My cheeks slightly blushed pink. "Go on." He sternly said. I looked into his dull gray eyes. "I feel there is something you should know before my parents announce it." I said, I took. Deep breathe. "I...I'm..."
"We have a very special announcement to make." My fathers voice boomed. "We would like everyone present to hear."
Levi walked into the main room and dragged me along. "Annabella, darling. Please come here." My mother said. I wanted to be the one to announce my pregnancy, but I guess the rules here are different. I walked over to my mother. She hugged me and smiled at everyone. She began to speak from where everyone could see and hear her, "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are proud to tell you that Princess Annabella is going to have a baby!"
Everybody clapped. My face went pale.
Why did she decide to announce it, especially here of all places. In front of everybody. Well, so much for telling them in private. I was frozen, I stood there and stared at the crowd. "Darling, you alright?" My mother asked. I shook off the feeling, "I'm okay."I walked into the hallway. I needed some space. Not only was it my baby, buts Jack's as well. I was going to have tell them eventually. I looked at my flat stomach. It hasn't even grown yet. But it won't be too long. At that exact moment, I realized something.
I was gonna be a mom.
Obviously, I was a mother to Hanna. But I have to actually give birth to this one. I'd be its mother by blood. And it's father is my rapist. Oh god...
I ignored a everyone's 'congratulations' and walked back into the hallway. I needed a minute to think. I don't think I could face them, I can't. Especially Levi. I heard faint footsteps. It assumed it was my mom or someone, but no. It was Levi.
He stood right in front of me. I faced his stomach from where I was sitting in a chair.
"Who's the father?" He asked, "And why isn't he here?"
I walked away. I couldn't face him. But he grabbed my hand. "Usually someone like you would be happy. Your acting like a spoiled brat."
"Your right. I am a spoiled brat. I don't deserve any of this. I should've died a long time ago." I said.
He pulled me to face him. "Who's the father?"
"I...i don't...wanna...wanna tell you..." I said in between sniffles. I started to cry.
"Come on, we will talk in away from the party." He said.
We went into a room far down the corridor. It had a deep green couch, a table, and a bookshelf filled with books.
Levi sat on the couch. He moved to make space for me. I sat down beside him. "You can cry now, if you need." He said in a monotone voice.
I fell onto his chest and cried my eyes out. He didn't even flinch, rather he let me cry. He understood the need to cry even though he is emotionless himself.
I felt his hand glide across my back. Was the stone-cold corporal trying to comfort me? I didn't do anything. He was the only person I would ever allow see me like this."I will protect you, don't worry." He said.
"Huh?" I sniffled.
"Please, why won't you tell me who the father is?" He asked. I flinched up. His shirt was drenched in my tears.
"Please, don't tell anybody. But I...I was raped." My hand flew to my mouth and I only cried harder. He wrapped his arms around me before I could fall onto his chest once more.
"Who?" He asked.
"His name is Jack. That is all I know about him." I said.
He rubbed my back. "I'm so fucking sorry!"
I was glad I had a shoulder to cry on. It's not like I could go and cry my problems out to my mother or father. They had more important things to do.
"If you don't mind me asking, when Eren saved you from that basement. Was that...where it happened?" He asked.
I nodded.
He hug tightened. He pushed me off and held my shoulders. He had the most serious look on his face.
"I will kill him."
My eyes widened. "You don't have to-"
"I do have too."
He let go. "I will find him, and I will give him hell."
The gleam in his eyes was almost scary. There was a tint of every emotion in them.
The door opened. It was the commander. He motioned Levi to come out.
Levi's POV
The commander motioned me to come out. I left Nana and shut the door.
"I heard every word." He sternly said.
I breathed heavy out of my nose. "What are you going to do?"
"The only Jack I've heard of is the guy who smuggles all those drugs through the walls. I think it's him." He said.
"We must bring him to justice." I said.
