Nana's POV

After last night, I felt more comfortable around Levi. Confessing to him was hard to do, but it was worth it. I tried to ignore my feelings, but that just made it worse. The hardest thing to do is hide your true feelings from someone you care about...In the meantime, I am currently waiting tables.

"Two beers, miss." My customer said. I smiled as I wrote down his order.

"Coming right up!"

I gave the small paper to the guy at the bar. He made the drinks and handed  them to me. I brung them back the table and the man thanked me.

"You're doing pretty good for your first day." My new boss, Dan said.

"Thank you!" I replied.

I continued taking orders and even got some tips! Which I put in the pocket of my apron. Hanna and Levi went to look for work outside of the inn. I don't what they will find, but hopefully something good!

Suddenly, the door swung open. A man breathing heavily had burst through. "Come Quick! Something Terrible has happened!"

Many people rushed to his aid. The man grabbed Morgans shoulders and said, "The coordination was delayed, and now the princess is missing!!"

I watched in silence as the crowd started to worry. "Why will we do?!" A girl cried.

"She was our last hope!"

"Now we have no ruler!"

"The princess may be dead for all we know!"

I collected the man's money and left the inn. I needed a break from all the commotion. What was I thinking? These people need me! Many are starving because I'm in hiding. I could be feeding children and funding a new school. But instead I'm earning barely any money for my selfish self.

I walked along the dirt path and rubbed my stomach. Maybe once the baby is here, I'll go back. Whoever wrote that letter will apologize. If it's just one person, it couldn't be much harm.

When I become queen, the first thing I'll do is personally help children in the underground. I'm sure Levi would like that. When I'm queen, I'll make everything better.

"Mom!" Hanna yelled from across a field. She started running towards me.
She stopped when she was a touch away and panted. "Levi  and I found a job!"

I kneeled down and smiled."That's great sweetheart! What is the work?" I asked. Levi had interrupted her, "We  are gonna help build a new house here."

"What?! Do you really think I'll let Hanna around a bunch of loose wood and nails?! So you know how dangerous that is?!" I scolded Levi.

He remained emotionless. "Hanna's gonna just pass out water. There's no need to worry." He said.

I felt so reliefed. I took a deep breath and relaxed my shoulders. "Wanna head back? I had left in the middle of my shift and the news about the missing princess has officially spread." I said.

"What do think the cadets back at HQ think?" Hanna asked. Levi rolled his eyes, "They probably miss us..."

Hanna didn't hear the sarcasm, but that's okay. "Let's head back now!" I suggested.

I finished my shift, earning ten coins. I was happy to make my own money. We were just in the room now, not really doing anything. Levi had a book over his eyes on the bed, Hanna was sounding out words in a book, and I was merely observing.

I noticed Levi would often change positions while he was resting, it was more like he was restless.  He parted his lips and I watched as his chest rose and fell when he breathed. I laid down on the bed as well. It was much more comfortable than the chair.
