Chapter 6

A Week Later…

Wow I have 1 day left in Sydney I have sent all my stuff to my house in Melbourne so I didn’t need to take a lot of baggage on my plane flight. I woke up early today to spend some quality time with Elise and Amanda who are both struggling to cope with how I was leaving.

I drove to Elise’s place to pick her and Amanda up; today we were going to the movies and subway for lunch. The three of us I talked for hours their biggest fear of me leaving is that I will change and never want to speak to them again because they aren’t good enough for me.

I know I will most likely change a bit but I will always be Casey Jade Mini I will never change for anyone and I will always keep in contact with them I mean it’s only a year and I will fly down almost 2 times every month. And I will call them every weekend and I will always have my phone on so I was able to text.

AMANDA’S POV

Casey is my closest friend I can’t lose her. It will be soo hard to last a year without her I mean we may even change and not end up seeing each other ever again. I love Elise and all but to be completely honest Casey and I were a lot closer we knew every single thing about each other and we would call each other every night. It just won’t be the same without her here.

I couldn’t help but cry Casey is like my sister I grew up having friends but none as close as we are. Elise, Casey’s Mum (Susan) and I organised a ‘Going Away’ party for her every single person who has had contact with Casey is coming. Elise will receive a text from Susan when the Party is set up and ready.

ELISE’S POV

I couldn’t bare the fact that she was leaving. I am very proud of her she has always been a bit self-conscious and having a job as a model will help her get over that because let’s face it Casey is stunning and every guy wants her. Casey belonged with the ‘popular’ girls in school because of the fact that she was beautiful and everyone in the school envied her. 

But instead she stayed with us the ‘immature’ group because yes Casey is crazy, loud and bubbly and urgh I can’t even describe how perfect she is basically Casey is the most popular girl in school she hates it when people say that to her because she cannot stand being the centre of attention. I know in my heart Casey, Amanda and I will always stay close I mean we have been together for 4 years.

4 years is not nothing. We will always talk and if not I will fly to Melbourne with Amanda to visit her and a year without her will go very fast. Everyone who has had contact with Casey has been invited to a ‘Going Away’ party dedicated to Casey. Her whole family is there as well. 

I am waiting for a text from Casey’s mum to tell me that the party is ready. Around about 5 minutes later her mum told me to come back it was 11:00am Casey and I have been out since 6:00am. When we got back to Casey’s place the party lasted for around 7 hours. Casey has had a proper goodbye for everyone. I know in my heart that she will be missed dearly.

CASEY’S POV

Elise, Amanda and I walked into my house I felt like lying down to think but I didn’t want to be rude and kick them out or anything like that. They need to spend my last hours with me and I think I will need to. They will sleep over tonight and tomorrow I get to the airport where my mum, brother and sister will say goodbye as well as Amanda, Elise, Kayla, Jess, Levi, Jamie and Johnny.

I have been spending a lot of time with Johnny lately we have been very flirtatious towards one and other.  We have kissed many times and we have fallen asleep on each other about 3 times just this week. I have a feeling the day I leave at the airport I will be kind of sexual towards him. I walked up the stairs and unlocked the door I walked inside when the lights flickered and around 1000 people were in my house “SUPRISEEEEE” everyone screamed at the same time. “Surprise for what?” I asked laughing.

“Your Mum, Mandy and I organised a Going Away party for you everyone who has had contact with you showed up” Elise said half crying. “Aww thanks guys. Thank you for coming everyone” I said surprised. The party finished at around 6:00pm I had said good bye to everyone I leave tomorrow. I had tea with my family and Elise and Amanda would join us later because they wanted me to spend my last family tea in Sydney with well… my family.

Mum had cooked me my favourite tea, Chicken Minions. They were little Chicken Breasts with bacon and cheese and herbs wrapped around them. Amanda and Elise came back to my place at 9:00pm my brother started crying though tea so I picked him up and sat him on my lap and talked to him about everything about why I have to go, how much better it will be for me and I promised him I will always speak to him and visit him every month.

I decided to prove to him I will, he was too young for FaceBook so I made him a Skype account and taught him and my mum how to use it so that they could share the account for when I call them. I fell asleep about an hour later Elise, Amanda and I talked about everything my sister had been the typical Hayley by being a dickhead. Ben was still very upset so Amanda and Elise slept on a mattress on my floor and I cuddled up to Ben to comfort him.

I woke up at 8:00am my flight was at 10:00am I had two hours to make sure I was ready and had everything. Mum said that she will figure out a way to get my car up to Melbourne so I didn’t need to stress about that. I had gotten everything I needed out of my room and sent it to Melbourne a few days ago. All I needed was a little flight bag with my iPod and phone and all that kind of stuff.

I had gotten ready and spent more time with Hayley and Ben. It was 9:00am I was ready to leave it took us around about 40 minutes to get to the airport so we had better start driving. It was a long trip to the airport well it seemed to take 2 hours all I could see was my mum and brother getting upset and Elise and Amanda were already crying. 

When we arrived at the airport we all walked over to the waiting room where we saw Kayla, Jess, Levi, Jamie and Mariah. We have all gotten very close to Mariah seeing as though Jamie and her were one of the cutest couples I have ever seen.
