I jiggled the knob a couple more times before sighing in defeat. I was too tired and worn-out from the past week's events to attempt to break the lock or the door. Waiting for the stairs I tried again, a little more forcefully this time and the door swung open. "Oh!" I fell into the doorway and quickly looked up to make sure nothing or no one, that could hurt me, was in the room. Harry told me about the time they found Fluffy and how it was extremely terrifying to have a huge dog sleeping on a door you need to get to. They eventually did get to the door but almost got attacked by Fluffy, so I'd rather not repeat the same scenario.
Quickly, I stood up and brushed myself off. Several layers of dust had grown fond of the floor and decided to make permanent residence on, except for a few bare spots here and there. The dust moved slightly as a large draft flew in from a small open window and the door slammed shut from the gust. I jumped at the sudden slam of the door and turned back to the darkness. Once my eyes had adjusted to the semi-darkness, the forms of tall bookshelves appeared and a door near the back of the room revealed itself as well. Making my way to the door, something fell off one of the shelves. The door near the back of the room opened and someone quickly walked out to see what was going on, I ducked behind a crate and hoped the person wouldn't find me. The footsteps stop a couple shelves away and glass is picked up, the person turned on their heel and walked back to the door, slamming it. I breathed a sigh of relief and placed my hand on a file cabinet of sorts to help me pull myself up, one of the drawers fell down and scattered paper everywhere. I quickly started to pick it up, "Lumos."
That was better, I could see where all the papers were and were not. Placing several in the cabinet, I noticed something odd- a birth certificate.
With my name on it.What was this doing here? And why?

The team celebrated merrily as they took off their gear, Malfoy smiled at the thought of coming back to the Slytherin common room and having everyone cheer for his team. For him. Especially Alice; he saw her sit with Granger and leave with them once Weasley was injured. He thought back on how he smiled at her and she frowned at him, obviously displeased. Displeased? He had no idea why she was upset or hanging around those idiotic Gryffindors but he didn't like it. He didn't care if it was part of some master plan, she needed to stop it. Before he did.

Snape quickly walked toward a locked room and unlocked it. He slammed the door and continued to another, this one without a lock. He was angry and he needed some time to think. Was it right to confront Alice like that? To give her that much of a hint? Not only that, but to make her fear and hate him? Is that what I've done? He questioned himself, make her fear and hate me? It wasn't intentional, but it was important that she understood the seriousness of Hogwarts and what was coming. He didn't want her to come here anyway, but Dumbledore allowed it which made him furious.
There was a slamming sound on the other side of the doorway that he paid no heed to, however when the sound of glass being broken was heard he quickly walked into the other room, "Listen carefully you vile creature, I'll give you until the time that I come back out to put what you've taken and leave. If you chose not to listen, then I'll have to resolve to other means rather than negotiations." He turned and walked back into the small room he was in before.
A couple minutes later, he emerged from the room to see if the thing that broke a glass was still there. Light came from one corner of the room. He quietly walked to it and peeked through the shelves to see the light coming from a pile of things. There was a person sitting on the ground reading the documents that lay scattered on the floor. Severus quickly made his way to the person and in one swift movement grabbed their arm and pulled them onto their feet. "Ah!" She let out a cry and looked at her captor, "Snape!?"
He was just as surprised and quickly let her down, "Alice. What are you doing here?"
"I-I was just... I got lost and the door slammed closed and..."
"Enough. The truth, Alice."
"I was exploring and the wind knocked down a glass so I hid from you and found these," She motioned to the papers scattered on the floor, "on accident."
"Let's go." He guided her to the backroom not noticing what she hid in her hand. He pushed her into a chair in the other room and closed the door, "Now, Alice, listen carefully..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Author's Note) So, as many of you have probably heard, Paris had a mass shooting/suicide bomb today that involved a large body count and, for awhile, a hostage situation. I believe 158 people were killed. This is extremely devastating and I hope/pray that all in or around Paris that are fearing for their lives are okay. Not only that, but I hope that those who lost their family members, friends, acquaintances, co-workers, etc. are okay. They also should know that they are in everyones' prayers. It can only get better.
With love to all effected,
