Snape finished walking me to Dumbledore's office. On the way we passed the library and the hall leading to the school greenhouse.

"What is your favorite subject?" Snape asked holding open one of the various doors that lined the hall open

"Well I love History and English. I think Science is Okay. I don't care much for Math much." I told him walking a bit slower

"How about wizard classes?"

"Ummm well I don't really know what the main subjects are."

Snape stopped and looked at me for a long time, shook his head and then continued walking.

What did I do?

"Here is your destination." Snape motioned to a large Griffin-type statue, "Stay here and wait for him to come."

"Thanks." I called before he left

He smiled, "Good luck Miss. Alice." Then he walked away.

I was left alone. Again.

Half an hour later

Dumbledore finally shows up.

"There's not much I can tell you. You don't know your house and I can't give you your classes and books until then."

"Can you at least show me where I may try the sorting hat on so I may begin my classes and achieve high marks?" I asked rocking back and forth impatiently

"What you won't be having any fun here? Only learning?" He raised his grey eyebrows

"I'll do whatever I need to succeed. It doesn't matter if it is fun or not." I pointed out

"In that case the hat sorting will take place in the feasting hall." Dumbledore proceeded to try to give directions but was of no use.

Instead of trying again he pointed to a white-blonde haired boy, "He will take you on a tour." Then Dumbledore left.

So I approached the boy, "Hi."
