"Too risky."
"...or not." Draco sighed after his little sales pitch. "You need to realize this is the only way we can get this done."
"I am not using ourselves as the distraction."
"But it's brilliant."
"Kissing you and getting Lizzie so mad as to fight me isn't brilliant. It puts too much attention on us."
"But, just as the first few minutes of the fight is over, you grab another person to take your place- one of your friends maybe."
"Do I look like I've made a lot of friends here?"
"You're always in the library so I'm going to say no."
"Inconsiderate asinine little-"
"But this is the only way."
"No it's not! It's too risky. There's the chance that they'll try and throw me back in or that there'll be that one person that spots us leaving and tries to use that a leverage. We can't afford that."
"Or you just don't want to kiss me."
"Or I think it's a stupid plan to begin with."
Draco rolled his eyes and looked around the room. It was the same set up as the girls but there were posters on the walls and it looked more homey. Except one part of the room that was pretty much a pink explosion. He raised his eyebrows upon seeing that one.
"Oh, that's Stella's. She kinda likes pink."
"I couldn't tell." Draco mumbled causing Alice to laugh
"How about we do your plan minus the kiss part. Just start up some trouble between two people and get everyone distracted in that fight."
"I guess. Anyone you have in mind?"
"I might."
...
"A few weeks ago I overheard Stella say that she thinks Lizzie is an abomination and shouldn't be referred to as a witch. Lizzie doesn't like Stella all that much either because of her taste in color and clothing. She thinks Stella is too out there."
"And you know all this because?"
"Stella is my room mate and Lizzie's best friend was my partner in potions."
"Oh."
"Plus I'm good at just listening and letting them vent all their anger and frustrations to me."
"You've come up quite a bit." She walked out of the room but stuck her head back in for a second, "You need to be nicer to them. They have feelings too."
Draco rolled his eyes and followed her out. "So you want me to find Lizzie?"
"Yes, tell her that Stella thinks her room is too drab and that she needs to be more fun- and not in the slutty way she has going for her."
"Geez. What are you going to say to Stella?"
"Lizzie wants to try to be the number one witch here and doesn't care who gets in her way. She also took a few things that went missing a few days ago from Stella's wardrobe. Fashion is Stella's mistress."
"Good luck."
They both parted and soon the girls were running towards each other furious.
"You called me a slut!"
"I only tell the truth. And that's more than it!"
"Takes one to know one sister."
"You're not my sister. Speaking of which, you stole the scarf she gave me. Give it back!"
"Enough!" Lizzie lunged at Stella, trying to scare her. But Stella just moved to the side, letting Lizzie fall onto her face.
Wiping away some of the blood coming from a newly formed cut, Lizzie stood up and glared at Stella. "What, you going to glare me to death?"
"No, I'm going to let Avada Kevara do that for me." She whipped out her wand
"You suck at spells so why should it matter?" Stella continued to taunt
"You know what Stella? Wands down fists up. I'll show you how fun I can be."
"Oooo, I'm so scared."
"Argh!" Lizzie ran at Stella and jumped on her, pulling at her hair.
Alice took this opportunity to quickly walk past Draco and together they ran out of the common room- and away from the fight they had started.
