Lunch came quickly after fourth period, which was my math class. I returned to my locker once again to retrieve my lunch bag when I felt something poke me. I turned to see that girl, Nina standing behind with her lunch bag. "Hey Katie, wanna eat lunch together?" I nodded as I closed my locker. She grabs my hand and leads me to the cafeteria. We sit at a large, round, white table. Why pretty child? That voice was back. I ignored it as I took a bite out of my ceasar salad. Then five other students came to join Nina and I.

"Hey Nina." The girl in black greeted.

"Hey Jane. Guys, this is Katie." Everyone at the table said hello to me.

"H-Hello." I said. Nina introduced me to them individually, Ticci Toby, Eyeless Jack, Ben Drowned, Jane the Killer, and Clockwork. Lunch ended and the seven of us parted our ways. I looked at my schedule; CULINARY SCIENCE. Well, at least it's not english.I paced my way to science almost bumping into a few of my classmates, since I'm trying not to be late, when I bumped into something, again. I turned around to see what's-his-face... Hoodie. I looked down on the ground realizing I knock his books from his arms. "S-sorry!" I exclaimed.

"That's okay." he said "Probably Karma's justice for what happened earlier." I grab one of Hoodie's books and hand it to him. "Thanks." Then I walked away... quickly.

"Hello everyone welcome to Culinary Science class." I heard the teacher announce as I entered the classroom, late. She looks over at me, "And you are late."

"S-sorry." I said softly. The teacher leads me to the last seat in the back of the class which was next to this... guy? Or girl? I couldn't tell because his or her dark hair covered their face.

"You will be sitting next to Jeff, Miss Katie." It's a guy. The sat me then sashayed back to the front of the classroom. I faced the front to pay attention to what the the teacher was saying. She was talking about the pizza... not something I would be interested in, I'll tell you that. After she finished her lecture, the teacher told us to work on a project with our table partner as she handed each pair a velvet bag of colorful, edible marbles. I took the bag and carefully poured the marbles in my hand. I examined them closely then noticed my partner, Jeff, was looking at me out of the corner of my eye. His face was white as snow, he had no eyelids just this black debris surrounding his eyes like thick eyeliner. His smile was the worse, it looked as it he just grabbed a knife a cut the corners of his mouth. Ignoring his gaze, I settled the marbles in a small, plastic container. Then his hand grabbed mine, and he had a strong grip. He moved my hand to my side of the table then took the container of marbles and separated them by color. What was that about? I thought. I waited until he was done then passed him the worksheet. He briefly took it and immediately started writing. As for me, I did the same. In less than ten minutes, we were both done then Jeff gathered the marbles and places them bag in the bag. As he did so, the bell rang and everybody in the class started to pack their backpacks. I waited until everybody left so I can make my way out without having to bump into people. I rose from my seat, grabbed my backpack and walked to my next class, History.

During History, I was so distracted by what happened today so far, I bumped into the same guy, twice, I made friends, my english teacher is making me do a large presentation, and my lab partner is a fucking weirdo. So what will happen next? I faced my body to the tv with the movie playing about a revolution but my eyes were not on the screen, instead they were up looking at the blackboard behind the movie. I must've daydreamed for the movie because when I snapped out of it, the teacher was talking again. I blinked then put my focus on the lecture for the rest of the period.

Finally, my last period came, which was my favorite subject of all time, Art. This time, I arrived on time just to steal a seat next to Clockwork.

"Hey!" She said.

"H-Hi." I said back. We turned our focus to the teacher who cleared his throat then in a sing-song voice introduced himself.

"Hello! I'm Splendorman!" He wiggled his arms and tentacles in every direction almost slapping a couple of students in the face. "I do apologize for that." he giggles. Just then, some guy walks in wearing a white mask with black eyes and a bloody smile. He hands the the teacher a blue pass then sits next to Clockwork. "As I was saying... Welcome back to Art class fellow scholars!" He claps his hands together like a kid that just saw the best disney movie ever. I sighed once again, What's up with him?, the voice said. Instead of speaking out loud, I spoke in my thoughts. Hey, there's no need for that kind of language, pretty child. I noticed the teacher stepped out of the room, then everybody began talking to one another. Clockwork nudged me.

"Hey, do you have anything to do after school?" she asked.

"N-no."

"Good, the gang and I are going to the plaza, you wanna come with?" I thought about it, It's up to you pretty child.

"I-I g-guess."

"Yay! Come by my place at four o'clock. Here's the address." She pulled out a piece of paper, wrote on it, then gave it to me. The teacher came back in then everybody settled down.

"Okay everybody, we should let the new girl here introduce herself." That's when all eyes in the room turned to me, I just had to sit in the back. The teacher gestures me to stand up and come to the front of the room. I fixed my gaze to all my classmates faces. I felt my anxiety rush through me like a hurricane, as it did so, I curled my hands into fists.

"H-hi. I-I'm K-Katie M-Mellows." I blushed in embarrassment then placed my arms behind my back. The teacher placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Please give Miss Katie a warm welcome here." He patted my shoulder, my cue for me to sit back in my seat. I heard other students whisper about me as I sat down. I don't like this pretty child. I responded in my thoughts. Well if you say so. Mr. Splendorman gave us each a handful of dark colored clay and a picture of a child who's been injured. "Please tell me, while using the clay, what the picture makes you feel. And do it quick, you have ten minutes max."

Ten minutes passed, and I was already done with my sculpture. Then teacher came around and saw my work, he gasped. " Well done Miss Mellows!" He examined my art then looked at Clockwork's "Splendid job Natalie." Then went over to the guy sitting the opposite of her then said, "Very good, Helen." His name's Helen? I shouldn't judge but honestly, I've never heard of guy being called that.

Finally the class ended and everybody in the school was released for the weekend. I closed my locker then walked outside the school bumping into that one weirdo, Jeff. "S-sorry." I said

"Don't bother." He responded then walked away. Well that was rude. The voice spoke. I agreed, that douchebag sure is something.
