Him

I watched the reflection of the sun hitting the water below us dance in his eyes. The wind ruffled his hair and he pushed it back down. I silently took a step closer and pretty soon I was standing next to him. He turned and looked at me, a small smile formed on his lips and I looked down. He turned again and I watched him take in the beautiful Horizon line . "Maybe someday we could live there" he said, breaking the silence as he pointed to a tall building across the water. "That would be nice"

He suddenly moved even closer to me and my heart jumped as our hand bummed. He grabbed mine and used it to point at a Starbucks that was next to the building he had previously pointed to. "See! It's perfect!" I chuckled and silently wished that he would understand the things I'm feeling. "And we could knock out that ugly old building and build a chipotle!" I laughed at his wishful thinking, why is he so amazing? He sighed softly and leaned his head on my shoulder. " I love you Scott" he said as he watched a duck swimming in the water below. " I looked straight at him and quietly replied: " I love you to Mitch"
