MITCH'S POV

I could feel myself falling, I could sense that I was going to give up soon. I was excepting the darkness once again. I lay on my bed starring at the ceiling, hot tears were running down my face and I did nothing to stop them. What was the point? The silence was ringing in my ears, plunging me deeper into the looming pit of despair that I so familiar with. I could feel myself shatter, I could feel myself braking. I had tried so hard to get past all of this, I just can't take the pressure anymore.

'Hey there you, shattered in a thousand pieces

weeping in the darkest nights

Hey there you, try to stand up on your own two feet

and stumble into the sky'

I felt so alone, how did I let myself get like this? I began to cry harder, my sobs echoing through the empty apartment.

'Hey there you, looking for a brighter season

Need to lay your burden down

Hey there you, drowning in a hopeless feeling

Buried under deeper ground'

Suddenly my door swung open and Scott was standing there with a worried look on his face. Without saying a word he sprinted across the room to my bed. He wrapped his arms around me and just held me. We stayed like that for hours, my sobbing slowly dying down. Scott never would know how much he helped me today, without him I would have been long gone. Scott was like my star shining down over me, helping to guide me to a better place. Knowing that he was there reassured me and a small smile spread across my face as my breathing calmed down and my head drooped and finally I drifted off to a peaceful sleep.
