I sat stretching in the splits when I saw Kendall walk into the studio.

"Kendall, come stretch with me!" I said, waving her over. She left her mom, Jill, talking to Gianna and walked over.

"What's up?" she asked, as she sat down. I looked around to see if anyone was listening.

"Did you hear about...Maddie and Nick?" I asked her.

She looked surprised.

"How did you know?" she asked.

"Maddie told me," I said. "I figured you would know, too, but I don't know about everyone else."

Kendall didn't say anything. We both knew how bad it would be if Miss Abby found out. Sure, maybe Maddie deserves to be yelled at once in a while, but the producers would find out and spread it around to get Dance Moms more views.

"Hopefully, she's not just spreading it around to people," I said.

"Yeah," Kendall agreed. "Especially Jojo. She's such a blabber mouth."

I laughed. "I know."

I heard the studio door open, and in came the Zieglers.

"Sorry we're late, Gianna!" Melissa said. "Mackenzie couldn't find her dance bag."

"It's not my fault Maliboo hid it under my bed," Mackenzie told her mom.

"Well, you and that dog almost made your sister miss pyramid!"

Kendall and I exchanged a glance. We both know Melissa favors Maddie over Mackenzie. I think it's terrible to pick favorites between your own daughters.

As Mackenzie started heading toward the dressing room, Maddie pulled her aside.

"Not a word!" Maddie hissed into Mackenzie's ear. Mackenzie quickly nodded and continued to the dressing room.

Kendall and I turned around and pretended we hadn't seen or heard anything.
