Mackenzie
"Madison Ziegler go to your room RIGHT NOW!" Mom was angry. Really angry. After she heard the tape recording, Mom had rushed us to the car and yelled at Maddie the whole way home.
Maddie was near tears as she walked to her room.
"We'll talk about this later!!" Mom snapped. I kinda just stood there awkwardly.
"You too, Mackenzie!!" Mom yelled at me.
"What did I do??" I always seem to be getting yelled at.
"GO!" Mom said. I waited for her to leave the room before I went upstairs. But I didn't go to my room. Instead I went into Maddie's.
She was sitting on her bed, crying. And not just a few tears. My sister was full out sobbing. This was strange, because Maddie is usually really tough at dance, not that she's yelled at much, but that's not the point. When Maddie saw me, she tried to clear up her tears.
"What is it, Kenz?" Maddie asked quietly.
I didn't say anything. I just walked over and sat next to her. I put my arms around her and held her like she used to do with me when I was younger and I was upset about Miss Abby yelling at me. Maddie held me and cried into my shoulder. We stayed in that position until 2 am, when both of us fell asleep.
