Abby's New Favorite

"Okay, remember, give this to Abby when you go in," my mom told me, giving me the wrapped bag of chocolates. "And be sweet. And friendly. And-"

"Okay, Mom, I get it," I interrupted. I was so sick of this. All the moms are trying to get their daughters to be Abby's "favorite", since Maddie's, uh, unexpected development.

"Don't have an attitude," Mom said, annoyed.

"Sorry," I mumbled, taking the chocolates and heading into the studio, where the cameramen were setting up.

"On the bottom of the pyramid," Abby revealed the picture. "Mackenzie."

Mackenzie looked at the floor.

"Your jumps and turns were sloppy," Abby told her.

We continued to watch as Abby revealed the pictures. I was on the bottom row. I guess those chocolates didn't help.

Maddie was third, Kalani was second, and on top was Kendall. Jill seemed beyond excited to see that.

"Congratulations Kendall!" Abby said. I guess we could all see who her new favorite was. "You will have a solo this weekend, and Jojo, Nia, and Kalani will have a trio."

I looked at the girls and smiled. They smiled back.

"I have one more solo," Abby continued. Everyone was thinking the same thing. Neither of the Zieglers were in anything except the group yet.

"Mackenzie will have the last solo," Abby said. Melissa didn't look any happier, but Mackenzie looked excited.
