Chapter 2: If she's British, why is she in Australia?

IT was already half past ten and Amanda wasn't home. Noelle was used to it, she was always late. The fact that she wasn't ready when Luke came to take her out just proves that point.

"I bet they're gonna do the deed on their first date," Ashton chuckled.

Noelle laughed. She couldn't argue with that. Even though Amanda was her best friend, Noelle knew she was easy to get.

"Can we watch a Disney movie?" Noelle asked, all of the sudden. Her cheeks flushed. Why did she have to blurt that out? They were a punk rock band, (or so they thought), why would they want to watch a Disney movie?

"I love Disney movies!" Calum exclaimed, overly-excited.

Michael groaned, rolling his eyes. "Calum is the reason we'll never be a punk rock band."

"Sshh, child, Luke is," Calum smirked.

They all agreed to watch Tarzan, mostly because Michael didn't want to admit he likes Cinderella. Noelle went to grab her CD collection from her room and when she opened her bedroom door, she accidently let out her dog.

"Mr. Pringle, no!" She scolded the dog, who was now heading to the living room.

She reached out to grab him, but she tripped and fell flat on the poor dog. That's what you get for not listening to me," She ruffled the Golden Retriever's head.

By now, the boys had already noticed the big ass dog in the living room. Calum was watching the dog in awe as Michael gushed, approaching him.

"Can I touch it?" He said, looking at the dog. Noelle nodded, after telling the dog to behave. The dog jumped on Michael, licking his face and knocking him down on the floor.

Ashton laughed and Calum sat still, staring at the dog like he hadn't seen anything like that before.

"Ow," Michael cried. "Ew, pfft, get this giant beast off of me."

Noelle tugged the dog closer. "Pringle is just a baby," she stood up for him.

Ashton scoffed. "It's a freakin' giant, what do you even give him to eat?"

"Dog food . . ."

"I've . . . always wanted . . . a dog," Calum said, looking at the precious puppy.

"Why is his name Pringle?" said Ashton, reaching out and taking the CD from Noelle's grip. He was determined to watch Tarzan tonight.

"Because he is my little single pringle and I luvva him." Noelle said in a baby-like voice, hugging the dog to her chest. Mr. Pringle seemed, rather unpleased by her tight embrace.

"I like your accent." Ashton said. He'd only met this girl a few hours ago and he was sure he liked everything about her by now.

"Oi, mate, thanks," she said, trying to do an Australian accent. The boys all erupted into laughter. She blushed, getting back on the couch, ready to start the movie.

IT was almost midnight when Amanda came home. The four teenagers were all crouched on the couch, sleeping. Noelle sat with her head on Michael's chest, Ashton was cuddling Mr. Pringles and Calum was on the floor.

When Luke came in, he started laughing at their weird position. His laughter woke up Pringles and let's just say he wasn't a really big fan of Amanda. He started moving around, trying to escape Ashton's grip and accidently hit his face, making him groan. The dog started barking at Amanda who just walked past the dog effortlessly.
