"A brain tumor takes up space within the skull and can interfere with normal brain activity. It can increase pressure in the brain, shift the brain or push it against the skull, and/or invade and damage nerves and healthy brain tissue. The location of a brain tumor influences the type of symptoms that occur. Identifying the presence of a brain tumor is the first step in determining a course of treatment."

Napatango tango na lang kami sa litanya ng aming head Doctor na si Doctor Galvan. Habang ako naman ay kating kati ng makausap sya. I just want to know the result. That's all.

"Ok that's all for today. Meeting adjourned." Lahat nagtayuan na at inimis ang kanilang mga gamit sa ibabaw ng conference table. Pero ako ay hindi natinag, pinagmasdan ko lang ang galaw ni Doc Galvan. Ayaw kong mawala sya ngayon sa paningin ko. Nagsi alisan na silang lahat. Kaming dalawa na lang ang natira.

He sigh, before he look at me. "Follow me, Doc. Alvarez." he command.

My heart start to beat faster. Eto yung gusto ko diba? Pero bakit parang gusto kong umatras na lang. Siguro dahil si Cass yung pinag uusapan dito, sya yung buhay ko .. Teka .. Bakit ang exag ko naman ata? Yeah .. Right .. I'm trying to calm myself. Believing that nothing bad will happen to Cass. Nakarating kami sa office ni Doc Galvan. I sit in front of her desk. I look at him, he just open his drawer and get the one folder that is properly sealed. He handed it to me.

"I think it's better to see it by your self. Alam kong matalino ka at maiintindihan mo ang nilalaman nyan."

Nakatingin lang ako sa folder, any minute after I open it masasagot na yung tanong ko, na araw at gabing gumugulo sakin. Haayy ...

It's now or never .. With a shaking hands I grab the folder and open it. I read the first paragraph, pero sa totoo lang walang pumapasok sa isipan ko. Ewan ko, pero parang ayaw tanggapin ng utak ko eh.

"There's a part of her brain that is not responding .. It's shows on the result. That's why it's negative. For now we cannot tell what is it until she's not undergo on brain test or CT scan. I suggest that while it is early start doing all the test so you can prepare now."

Napatingin lang ako sa kanya. Staring blankly to Him.

"Don't give me that look Alvarez, you can check it .. Di ko sinasabing ikamamatay nya yan, we do not know.. Just take the test for us to know."

*tok* *tok* *tok*

"Come in.."

"Doc .. Start na po ng meeting nyo kay Doc Clinton."

"Ok I will go."

Tumayo sya saka lumapit sa akin. "Don't panic .." tapos tinapik nya pa ako.

I heard the door closed. Tumayo na din ako para umalis. Hawak ang folder kung saan nakalagay ang result ni Cass. Parang zombie na naglakad ako patungo sa sasakyan ko. Buti na lang I take off my Doctor's suit in the meeting. Nakarating ako ng dorm ko na lutang ang pag iisip.
