I saw him. The man who killed people and got set free. The man who killed his own wife and daughter so he could survive. Do you remember that news story? A plane crashed down, the man, his wife and his six year old daughter survived.
Rescue took a month, two weeks and six days; the man was found eating the last pieces of flesh off of his baby daughter's leg. He got taken home, cleaned up and had therapy for that. Post traumatic stress disorder, they labelled him with, if you remember the news story. They said he had it because of the way he had constant dreams about it, had nervous twitching in his hands whenever he spoke to female doctors and nurses, they all pinned that down to PTSD. A nice little label for the insane person.
He didn't look good when I saw him. He was malnourished, he had a beard down to his chest, his hair was falling out and going grey. He had wrinkles around his face, almost stretch marks from the tear tracks on his face, it looked like. His eye were red and sleepless, he walked as if weights were on his back.
I saw that man today but then I didn't. I moved away from the mirror.
