Joe's pov
I'm kind of upset right now. Everyone seems to have had something come up. Which means they can't come to my party in the early afternoon. Luckily, (y/n) invited me over. She told me to wear something nice though. Eh, oh well.
(Y/N)'s pov
Everything is set up everyone is getting themselves dressed up now. Caspar and I went to a recording studio to finish a song. I made it just for Joe. I'm going to give it to him for his birthday. I was wearing a black and white lace dress. It was a simple thin-strapped black middie dress. I then paired them with black heels and a silver necklace that had my name hanging from the chain. I curled my (h/c) hair and the tips of my personally cut fringe. I did a light smokey eye, double-winged eyeliner, and mascara on both the top and bottom lashes. My nails were painted black with silver details on my fingertips. I felt like something needed to be done and I knew what it was but I was not going to let that happen.
I headed down the stairs to see everyone looking spiff and sharp. The girls looked gorgeous in their dresses. I'm so glad everyone looked nice. Then I got a message from Joe.
Joe<3<3<3: Hey beautiful, I'm on my way over. May I ask what it is we are doing tonight????
(Y/N): Sorry handsome, but that isn't possible tonight. Just go to the park where we started our first date, ok?
"Hey guys I'm gonna go ahead and head to the park now I have to get there before Joe," I said to everyone.
"OK, I still have to touch up on some things how long will you be gone most likely?" Zoe asked.
"45 minutes at the max," I said back and headed to my car to drive to park.
1 min later
I was sitting on the same exact swing that I jumped off.
"(Y/N)!" Joe yelled.
"Over here babe," I said
"I missed you so much even though it has only been one day," he said back.
"I missed you too!" I said going in for a kiss.
"I'm glad at least one person has time for my birthday, you look like amazing. Where are we headed?"
"Just follow me," I whispered.
We were soon in the Starbucks where we headed after the park on our first date. I love his smile.
"A hot chocolate and one green tea please," I politely with a smirk glued on my face.
"Hey, I remember this order, in fact, it's in my pocket," he said pulling out the receipt from that day.
"You kept it," I said as we were handed our drinks.
"Yeah, it's been in my pocket since," he said staring into my eyes.
"Are you gonna kiss me or not?" I questioned. After I said that, he kissed me passionately.
"Let's go back to my place for the last part of your birthday," I softly spoke.
1 min later
"Let's go in," I spoke.
"OK," Joe solemnly said back.
"Hey, it's only 8 o'clock let's be happy," I said as I opened the door for Joe that way he was in first and not me. All the lights were off, thankfully. I saw Joe reach for the switch and turn the lights on.
"SURPRISE!" everyone shouted making Joe shocked and happy.
"Wait, so this is why you guys all canceled on me?" Joe asked after kissing my forehead.
"Yeah, pretty much mate," Caspar stated.
