It was lunch. I couldn't wait. I was in the library, browsing in the Young-Adult section, when I heard the door open. The door to the library has one of those little bells, like the ones they have at ice cream shops or small little convenience stores, so I heard whenever someone walked in the entrance.
Anyways, I looked over, and sure enough, it was Cody! I tried to act casual as I walked over, but it was really hard.
"Hey." I said, trying to look busy as I looked at the shelves.
"Hey! Um, sorry if I was a bit late..." he replied.
"No, it's cool. But, uh, why did you want to come here? And why did you want to talk to me? No one likes me! I don't have any friends, and I was labeled the 'mental sick brat' by Brittany. So, I don't think you want to risk you friends and social life hanging out with me..." I admitted.
"Oh, uh, I'm sorry that you don't have many friends, but you seem like a cool girl. But I came here because I wanted to talk to you, and I know Brittany and her stupid posse don't read because they're fake, so I figured the library is the best place to meet. I can't believe I actually dated her for a whole 3 months!! Anyways, I wanted to say...um...yes to your offer." Dang. He really hated Brittany. But, what was he talking about? My 'offer'?
"My...offer?" I asked, confused.
"Uh, yeah. You asked me out on a date..." He trailed off.
"Oh yeah! Wait, really? You like...me? Wow, uh, this has never happened before. No one likes me, not even my family. The only person who like me isn't a person: it's my dog... But I guess you like me too, now!" I was beginning to speak really fast again, but I took a deep breath and calmed down.
I looked into his gentle, sky-blue eyes, and his warm smile comforted me. I knew he actually liked me, for whatever reason. His soft, medium-brown hair looked so cute, peeking out from under his beanie. His shirt was so tight that you could see his 6-pack, and I was so overwhelmed with how big his biceps were!!
But enough about how hot Cody is, now I'm going to talk about myself a bit.
