Finally, another chance to get away from my hell hole of a home, and enjoy a night with the Cobain's at the drive-in!

Granted, it was family night for them. And I felt so bad about that.

But, Jenny insisted I come once Kurt told her what was going on.

I had a bruise on my arm. And left leg.

Let's just say, things got bad with moms new boyfriend last night.

Anyway...

The plan was, Kurt and I would go see a movie by ourselves, that's more kid friendly.

While Don and Jenny go see a film made for adults.

Jenny drove us over to the screen our movie was playing on, smiling a little once she jumped out.

"Alright you two. Behave. And have fun."

Kurt gave her one of his fake smiles, making me giggle.

Once she closed the door, he instantly lost it, rolling his eyes.

"Behave! Yeah right...."

I grinned, bumping my shoulder with his.

"Thank god for no adults!"

He smirked, bumping me back.

"C'mon. We're not watching this shit."

Kurt took my hand, leading us out the car and across the drive-in, towards the bathroom, making me scrunch my eyes.

"And what exactly do you have planned Cobain?"

He looked at me, smirking a little.

"You'll see Bean."

I rolled my eyes, grinning.

We finally reached the bathroom, stopping just a little outside the lot, looking up at the screen.

Kurt stared at it, smiling a tad.

"I'm not sitting through another Don Knott's comedy. So, here we are."

He extended his arms, looking around the lot.

I grinned.

He looked so happy.

"Well. I'm beyond fine with that! I'd rather see something more.. Adult."

Kurt smirked, pinching my arm.

Laying on the ground, watching the movie, looking at the sky, laughing.

We talked through most of it.

But, I can tell you, Kurt won't forget a single word uttered in this film.

He always remembers.

I looked over at him, seeing him staring intently at the sky.

He looked so peaceful like this. Not a care in the world.

Which is rare for Kurt anymore.

He's usually so sullen. And withdrawn. Lately, I've been super worried about him.

At one point, I showed up at his house in the middle of the night, worried because of how he sounded on the phone.

He sounded so broken. So sad. He overheard Jenny telling Don she couldn't handle anymore of his outbursts.

And that he might have to go. Which pissed me off.

All these people act like they don't give a shit about him.

It's wrong...

I felt Kurt poke my cheek, bringing me back to earth.

I looked at him, seeing him smiling a little.

"Lost in space?"

I smiled, poking him back.

"Guess you can say that.."

I looked up at the movie screen, seeing the credits rolling.

"Shit! It's already over?"

Kurt laughed at the look on my face, making me stick my tongue out.

"Can't get enough of me Bean?"

I playfully slapped his arm, grinning.

"Never Cobain. Never."

We both jumped up, making a beeline for the car, seeing Jenny walking in that direction.

Kurt smirked, grabbing my hand, running as fast as we could, making it just in time.

We jumped in the back super fast, Kurt laying his head on the back of the seat, closing his eyes.

He peeked one eye open, seeing me laughing, a grin on his face.

"I've never seen you move so fast!"

He mocked me, rolling his eyes, roughly pulling me down onto him.

My eyes widened from the impact with his chest. I felt him chuckle.

The car door opened, both of us instantly closing our eyes, hearing Jenny clap her hands together.

"Aww.."

I held my hand over my mouth, trying to hide my smile.

I felt Kurt's chest vibrate, slowly looking up at him.

He was smiling, his eyes closed.

I closed mine, softly smiling.

What an adventure..
