It's the first day of school, and I already wanna back out. I mean, don't get me wrong I love studying. It keeps me busy from anything unnecessary. And when I say unnecessary, I meant love. I honestly don't know what love means for people in my school, I mean, they make out in the freaking hallway. Like, can they just, don't? Ugh.

"Well, here goes nothing." I sighed, after fixing my hair.

People in my school who doesn't know me, but knows my name probably imagines me as a nerdy type of person. Well, I can't blame them. My name's always on top of the bulletin board, and Dawson Richards right under mine. But of course, no one thinks of "Richards" as a nerd. Gorgeous light brown hair, green eyes, perfect jawlines, and not to mention the mole under his right eye which girls in my school find really charming, excluding me.

I really love dressing up in gorgeous clothes, which gives people the you're-Elizabeth-Watson?-No-Way impression of me. Yes, I do love dressing up in gorgeous clothes, but there are also times that I'm just like nah. I was so occupied with my thoughts that I didn't know I just happened to pass by my best friend without saying hi.

"So what's disturbing the thoughts of miss Elizabeth May Watson?" Dylan said as he wrapped his left arm around my shoulder. Girls started glaring at me, so I elbowed his stomach to give him a clue. Dylan was one of the carefree "hot" guys in school. Well, if he's your best friend, you wouldn't consider him as "hot".

Our mom's are basically best friends, so me and Dylan are literally best friends since birth.

"Ow! Why do you keep doing that?" Dylan said laughing a bit, as if wanting me to put what I feel into words.

I just glared at him.

"Come on, don't give me that look. Everyone in school knows that we've been together since birth." He told me with a smirk.

"And that's exactly the reason why. Other girls think that I'm trying to monopolize you or something. And F.Y.I we've been best friends since birth" I said, emphasizing best friends.

"Wow Eli, just wow. You tryna' break my heart? Cause it's totally working." Dylan said as he made that puppy face.

I blushed at this, but I immediately elbowed his stomach again.

"Ow!" he complained, while laughing. "Well, anyways see you at lunch. We wouldn't wanna be late on the first day of school now, right?" Dylan said while wrapping his left arm around me tighter, bringing me closer to him.

I elbowed his stomach one last time and ran away.

When I realized that I finally lost him I stopped running. Geez that guy just doesn't have a clue about girls-fragile-hearts does he?

He's my best friend? Yeah. But he's also a gorgeous and athletic guy. And I basically can't help but feel attracted to him in some way.

Anyways, I'll just get over that. I looked at my watch, sh*t. Two more minutes till the second bell. I ran as fast as I could to my first block.

I was late for a minute, but the good part is, Mr. Ransom was writing something on the board, and he didn't really notice I was late. I sat at the middle front desk.

"So, can anyone differentiate weight and mass? Just a little recap, on what you learned in last years Physics" Mr. Ransom asked, turning around from the board.

I raised my right hand. "Yes, miss Watson?" Mr. Ransom called me.

"Well, weight is the gravitational force exerted by an object, while mass is the amount of matter an object has." I answered in a sly tone.
