ELI'S POV
"Hey!" Dawson called out as he walked towards our direction, "It's nice to see you again." He smiled.
"You too!" I told him gleefully. Yeah right, as if.
"I dropped out Music class. The counselor told me I needed to take a P.E. class since it's a requirement for graduation." then clicked his tongue.
"It's quite awesome that you're in my class though." I smiled widely. Oh God bless these words of mine.
"Wow, I think you're the only one I know from this class." Dawson said while looking around.
"Dawson... Of course not, you know me too. Don't you?" Mia joined the conversation. Dawson looked at her curiously.
"Don't you remember me?" Mia asked.
"Ummm, well you do look familiar, you're... Cheska?" Dawson said in a uncertain tone.
"It's me! Mia! We met at Derek's party." she told Dawson smiling, even though disappointment was quite obvious in her tone.
"Oh right! Of course! How could I forget." Dawson said laughing, exposing those dimples again. Poor Mia, I seriously feel bad for her though. Why's she even talking to this jerk?
"Anyways, you need partners in this class." Mia said, trying to change the subject.
"Oh, is that so?" Dawson said in a knowing tone. Well, poor Dawson doesn't have a partner.
"Do you wanna be partners?" Mia suggested, looking all flirty. I just looked at her in shock, bit my lower lip, and turned my head away.
Wow, just wow! She's one of those flirts after all huh?
"Yeah, I'm sorry but I was just about to ask Eli to be my partner." Dawson told Mia. "I thought you two were partners at first, but I guess not." then he smirked at Mia.
I just looked at Dawson, and I suddenly felt at ease after what he's done.
"Eli, do you mind waiting for me while I go change?" Dawson asked me.
"Oh! Umm sure, go change. Yeah, I'll be fine." I answered in a surprised tone.
He started walking towards the men's changing room, and for some reason, my eyes were following him.
What is his deal? This guy sure knows how to confuse people, I'll give him that.
I shrugged off the whole confused feeling and turned back to Mia. This Mia is way different than the Mia I've just met earlier. She was glaring at me, then she walked away.
What's her problem? She's the one who ditched me in the first place.
"Thanks for waiting." Dawson told me with a huge smile.
"Well that was fast." I told him jokingly.
"Well I am a guy, so." He told me in a matter of fact tone. "So which sport do you wanna play?"
"I'd choose soccer, but it's quite boring to play if there's only the two of us." I told him.
"You like soccer?" He asked me in curiosity.
"Well yeah, I love soccer." I told him, emphasizing the word love, because I really do love soccer. "Let's just choose badminton for now, I guess."
"Oh!" he told me in a surprised tone. "Yeah, sure."
I turned my head to look at him. "You okay?" I asked him smiling.
