ELI'S POV
Another day in which I went home thinking about Dawson. Ugh! I hate him so much! Is this his way of making me fall in love? Is this his idea of making someone fall in love? Dammit, he's doing all this so that he'd be stuck in my mind, Isn't he? Well, as expected from the "Heartthrob" or whatever he thinks he is. Well played Dawson.
We've just finished eating dinner, so I went to rest for awhile on the couch. I was daydreaming, and I just can't get Dawson out of my mind. I kept slapping myself whenever I thought of that moment.
"Uh, Eli dear is something wrong?" dad asked me across the living room.
"Oh yeah. Everything's fine." I lied. I wonder how my dad's gonna react if he finds out that I'm being harassed by some guy in school. I snorted at the thought. The telephone rang then my mom went to answer it.
"Eli, it's for you." mom told me in an unusual cheery voice. Seriously, who calls me with a telephone nowadays? Dylan's probably messing around again.
"Who is it?" I asked my mom from the couch.
"Well, he told me he's your secret admirer." mom replied, grinning from ear to ear. Dad on the other hand, choked on his burrito. I ran to the telephone as fast as I could.
"Hello?" I answered the phone full of curiosity. It can't be him, right?
"Hey, it's your secret admirer." the guy from the phone said, almost laughing, emphasizing the words secret admirer. That's the voice I loathe the most. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"How did you get my freaking telephone number?" I yelled in a demanding tone.
"Well Eli, I believe there's this thing called the telephone directory." Dawson replied in a sarcastic tone. I bit my lower lip at his reply.
"Wow, you really went that far just to annoy me huh?" I sarcastically replied back.
"Yeah, kinda." he simply replied, but I'm pretty sure he's wearing that evil smirk again.
"Ugh. What do you want?" I retorted.
"Nothing really, just wanted to check if the scumbag made a huge impact on you." he replied in a menacing tone. "And it looks like he did." Scumbag? My eyes widened once again.
"Yo-you heard me yell..." I stuttered.
"Kinda." he slowly replied. I felt embarrassed, and blushed.
"Oh yeah, well," I calmly said. "you deserved it."
"Anyways, I'll be picking you up tomorrow." he told me, which made me snort.
"Ha! You don't even know where I live!" I shouted at him on the phone.
"Geez Eli, I didn't know someone like you would be capable of shouting that loud." he replied. "Of course I know where you live, don't underestimate the Richards." I gulped and tried to regain my calm voice again.
"Well, for your information" I started. "I walk with Dylan everyday to school so..."
"And for your information, Dylan has soccer practice in the morning." he snorted. Dammit, he caught me.
"Aren't you supposed to be the same? You're in the soccer team too Mr. Heartthrob." I told him sarcastically, emphasizing the word heartthrob.
"Well, I don't mean to brag but I don't need to practice, I'm special." he boasted. Psh, special huh?
"Oh, I'm sure you are special." I replied slowly in a menacing tone emphasizing the word special, and grinned.
"Wait, what are you trying to-" he responded, but I cut him off immediately.
