ELI'S POV
It's the second day of school, and I have never ever been motivated like this in my entire life.
I'm gonna go to school, stronger and smarter than ever. Watch out Dawson, and prepare to dig your own grave.
"Mom, Dad! I'm gonna walk to school now!" I said, making my voice louder as I descended downstairs.
"Let's go?" Dylan's voice came out of nowhere, which made me miss one more step on the stairs.
"What the hell Dylan? Geez, why do you keep popping out of nowhere?" I said as I stood up rubbing my knees.
He laughed so hard, and helped me up.
"Who the heck told you to go to school with me?" I said with an annoyed tone, glaring at him.
"Mom did. Hey don't look at me like I'm some weird creep who follows you anywhere, anytime." He told me while still laughing a bit, probably because of the incident earlier.
"Well, tell mum Lauren thank you, but I'll be fine on my own. And the word for that "weird creep" is stalker" I told him proudly, glaring and smirking at him at the same time.
"Yeah mom said, she wouldn't take that for an answer. She said ehem.." Dylan said as he cleared his throat. "You shouldn't let Eli go anywhere without a trusted friend! She's sixteen you have to protect her from those maniacs out there!" Dylan said trying to mimic mum Lauren's voice.
I laughed hard at this.
"You know, for a good looking guy like you who mimics a woman's voice in front of a girl, it's totally depressing" I said, still laughing hard and wiping some tears.
"And you know, for a girl like you who laughs that hard in front of a guy? Oh that's totally depressing." Dylan said with a grin on his face. The grin of victory.
"Whatever" I stopped laughing and rolled my eyes and started walking away.
Our school is basically like 2 blocks away, Dylan is also my neighbor, so I guess that's another reason why we walked to school together ever since we were kids. Well, there was three of us... Me, Dylan, and uh Lucas, Dylan's twin.
"So?" Dylan asked me with an amused tone.
"So? What?" I asked him, confused.
"Well, I am your best friend. I know almost everything about you." he said with a smirk.
"Aaand?" I still don't get what he meant.
"And I noticed how you were buried in your thoughts ever since we've started walking" Dylan said, and I was kind of taken aback by what he said, and I was thinking of a good excuse.
"See! You're hiding something!" he shouted at me and pointing his finger at me as if he found out something exclusive.
"Psh. Me? Hiding something? Yeah right." I told him trying to avoid eye contact.
"Well, okay. If you say so." Dylan said, actually satisfied with what I said.
No way. What? He actually believed it? I was trying so hard to suppress my laugh. I can't believe he was actually satisfied with that answer.
"Well, anyways" I said, trying to change the topic. "Mom told me-" I stopped when I noticed that he wasn't on my right side anymore.
"Dylan?" I said, trying to look for him.
Then I suddenly felt someone bite my left ear.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" I was screaming so loud. Dylan was laughing so hard, looking at me, more satisfied than ever.
